Which superhero should never get a movie?

In light of this video (http://nostalgiacritic.blip.tv/file/2306212/) I have to ask are there any super heroes that should never get a movie?

Characters that are inexplicably tied to a team shouldn't get a solo movie, such as Cyclops, Mr. Fantastic, Starfire, etc. There are exceptions though, but may be only viable via a spin-off of a team film, such as the Thing or Martian Manhunter.

This is a tough one, because you never know if someone can pull a "Blade" with a crappy character. Ant-Man comes to mind quickly for me though, and I think it's because of the fact that he's been rumored to have a movie for awhile. Ant-man just sounds boring as hell for a movie. I don't care that they want to make it like "Honey I Shrunk the Kids" either. I really don't care to see a guy that shrinks himself into the microscopic world for 2 hours.

Well onto topic then, I heard they want to make ant man into a movie, sounds uninteresting to me. Elektra was a stupid concept to me too and look how that turned out. Can't think of many more to be honest as it will be just naming characters that people dont know that well anyway.

I think these have potential for great stories, especially Martian Manhunter, I guess I could definitely do without them though. You'll have to find the right talent for Plastic Man (Edgar Wright t, tread lightly with the racial stereotypes around Luke Cage (which may be impossible for a studio), and play up the detective angle of Martian Manhunter, but they CAN be done IMO


I almost want to say Teen Titans. I have no faith whatsoever in a studio casting the teen titans. I remember babysitting my cousins and thinking about blowing my brains out because of the rubbish that passes for acting in the Disney and Nickolodeon TV shows which would most likely be the spot where they would find the super-generic teens who have built in appeal. Worst thing about it is seeing those same kids suggested around these boards. Ugh! But they are in the same boat as I described above. They arn't necessarily incapable of having a good movie, just definitely have a lot of potential to slip up.

Yeah, at this point, Punisher don't need no more movies.

I like the Punisher a whole bunch, but I think he'd be better suited to have a really good tv series. thepunisher.com a bit back had an interesting blurb on how an episodic treatment would suit him the best. As for characters I don't want to have movies, I'm looking at the current wish to have Magneto have a film by himself. I mean it COULD work, but really, if it lacks mutants galore, action and is just focused on him during his youth and first meeting Chuck, it wont get the "zOMG Wolburiiiiiiine summer blockboxofficeMUtantCamEo" bonanza cash flow that Fox would want. Also, as much as I love Venom, I really don't think a solo movie would work, he works better off of Spider-man. Just my piece. On the topic of spinoffs, I really hope we don't get into a new trend of giving charismatic villains spin offs.

What I wouldn't like- NFL superpro. If you know of him, you know it'd be a waste.

No more Supergirl movies- Is there even that large a fanbase? Lets just focus on the superman films. The story has change too many times on where she came from and her relation to Kal-El.

I wouldn't want any from alternate universes, like an American Dream film or Wolverines Daughter from the same universe.

Pym's story may actually be good if done right, with the complex history of him. The downside is that every superhero needs a great power/ability, and what can Pym do?

Shrink, grow, and control ants; which many people may consider boring.

And being giant, well, that's just an awesome visual especially if they use the conversion from Antman to Giant Man/Goliath in the Avengers Movie. Cuz nothing looks more awesome than a giant dude tearing into rampaging aliens or robots or whathaveyou.

And as far as him being a wife beater, if he's a wife beater, then so is Spider-Man.
