Good? All of them. The best? I thought all of them were good at playing their specific versions of Superman, but Reeve was good at being Superman, no matter what version, so I'm going with him.

This is the first comparison poll that dosen't feel like a veiled "Anything in MOS was better than the old version" thread. In any event...

Henry Cavill played a great Kal El...can be a great modern Superman with better writing.

Tom Welling was a decent Young Clark Kent

Dean Cain did a great job at playing a version of Clark that I don't care for. When it comes to being Superman, he is absolutely bad.

Christopher Reeve is king.

IMO Tom Welling and Dean Cain don't count and should be ignored because of the pure silliness of what they've done to the character.

George Reeves and Brandon Routh belong on this poll. There's a great deal of people who liked Routh's Superman despite not liking SR. And Reeves' version defined what the character was to a generation of people.

Yep, initially I forgot Routh and George Reeves as well. I had to edit my post to include them lol.

I got to give it to Reeve. I never thought Reeve was a beacon of hope. He was a friend. And he played that part so well.

I voted for Cavill, but only because I couldn't make multiple votes because he's dead even with Reeve in my book. And as much as I believed in Cavill, I never thought he'd reach Reeve-level for me. And yet he did. To me, they are both Superman.

I really can't say which is better because Cavill and Reeve are way too close in my heart. Then Welling, then Dean Cain. The only worst portrayal IMO is Brandon Routh, but I don't blame him...I blame writing for trying to portray a stoic Superman.

While I get the gist of this poll, I'm not going to offer a vote - they're all Super-men as far as I'm concerned. Trying to say one was any better than the other, that just seems like a massive disservice in all too many respects, IMO.

I will say this, however: Christoper Reeve to me is the one true Superman, and I don't mean just the character.

Well, this isn't just about your opinion, it's a poll so everyone should be included. And there are plenty of people who remember George Reeves. Even people who were born long after the show ended know of him, such as me.
