World Which version of Venom is your favorite?

They weren't going for a big guy. They wanted him to be smaller because they wanted him to be similar to Peter.

In SM3, Eddie is like a mirror image of Peter except that Eddie never had the life that Peter had. He wasn't brought up with the phrase "With great power comes great responsibility."

The 616 Venom is just a terrible character in every way. His whole origin is ridiculous, but it was made even worse by the endless amount of terrible mini-series comics that portrayed Venom as some brain-eating, anti-hero with an abusive father and a sporadic case of cancer. "The Last Temptation of Eddie Brock" has made Venom interesting for the first time, ever, but it doesn't redeem 20 years of bad characterization. Plus, his design is so freakishly inconsistent, it's sometimes just flat out disgusting.

I quite liked teh Tas venom from the 90s animated series...

eddie had much bigger motivation and spidey had caused for him to lose considerably more...

also the symbiote had it's own agenda and that was clearly also highlighted

so the double revenge was cool...

plus he drove trucks...

what I really liked about his first appearances (When it was McFarlane who was drawing him) was that he looked like a very creepy and twisted Spider-Man. Larsen's and Bagley's Venom were cool, but the alien side of the character was a lot more present.
