Which villain deserves to be the cliffhanger?

If there is some sort of cliffhanger introducing a villain for SM4, who would be most worthy of screen time and spoiler value?
personally I love Scorpion so gimme a Mac Gargan scene and I'm sold. Screw Lizard, I wanna see the Scorpion from the Videogame version pimped out in lasers and huge armor. Oh, and a schizophrenic rage for JJJ.

first of all, do you guys even realize what a cliffhanger essentially is?

in order for there to be a cliffhanger, there can't be a resolution to the story. it would have to end, for example, with spidey literally hanging off a cliff or something. "tune in 3 years later to find out if spidey makes it!" that's not gonna happen. it hasn't happened for the past 2.

i think you guys mean what will be the set-up for the next installment. like them showing curt connors drink his formula or something like that. or the symbiote clinging to brock. in SM2, the set-up was harry finding the goblin gear.

but we already know this is venom's movie (no matter how the length of time he's in it), so a venom set-up is out. as for another villian, i don't think we'll see a set-up. i think they'll end this film and tie up all loose ends, as if it's the last one. and that makes the most sense.

Well I dont think theres gonna be a cliffhanger, since I think they would end the trilogy without any loose ends. But if there is, I think it should be The Lizard.

Because the Lizard is a cool character. They already introduced Dr. Conners, The Lizards alter ego, in Spider-Man 2.

Much as I'd like Venom to get more action in a sequel...

I'm gonna have to go with Lizard here. It would be such a great little cliffhanger ending with Connors - esp since we've seen him around since SM2....
