Which Villain For The Batman Reboot?

Okay, fair enough. Let's say: I want a Joker the way I like him. That's kinda selfish, I know. I just didn't like the way The Joker was portrayed in TDK (and in B89 as well). What I liked though was that they didn't give him a "real" name and an origin in TDK.

And yes, I stopped watching TDK. About a year ago. I just can't stand the cheesy and over-explanatory dialogue in this movie anymore.

Back to topic. In a reboot I'd love to see The Riddler (without a mind machine), a non-fantastic Penguin, Black Mask (original ircanation), less campy versions of Mr Freeze and Poison Ivy, the Mad Hatter and
Two-Face and Scarecrow again - done right this time. :cwink:

My favourite Nolanverse villain is still Ra's al Ghul. Though he was different from his comic book version as well.

How would you like to see Joker? What was wrong with Two-Face?

Villains I'd most like to see at some point and a brief synopsis on how...

Deadshot-Assassian for hire who's captured by Batman and is recruited by Amanda Waller for the Suicide Squad in a post credit scene.

Killer Croc-Circus freak/hired muscle/right hand man who ties in with the Flying Grayson's story.

Mr.Freeze-Simular to the "Artifacts" episode on The Batman,I'd like to see an eventual Dark Knight Returns-like take on him.

Hugo Strange-Criminal psychologist obsessed with Batman.

Riddler-All I ask is for a more serious version who is cunning, calculating, clearly disturbed, obsessed with riddles, prefering to battle with brains over brawn unless he's been outwitted and determined to make a name for himself.

Clayface-This is a tough one.On one hand I can see a non shape shifting, master of disguise and impersonations version who is a schizophrenic that is both a murderer and a thief blaming various "identities" for each crime.

On the other hand,if they wanted to go a more science fiction route,he could be some sort of shape shifting freak who does dirty jobs for maybe a slightly re-worked Thomas Elliot or Black Mask in hopes of finding a cure.

To answer the original question,I think that Hugo Strange would be the best choice for the reboot antagonist. The Riddler would also be fine.

I'd also love to see a movie where the audience feels as though the Arkham Asylum itself seems like a villain in it's own right. A movie where the question is subtly brought up "Is the Arkham Asylum helping it's inmates or driving them more mad?"

i think the first movie should not be an origion story just like make an alternative route off of batman begins. It starts out with tony zucco and rupert thorne about to make a huge drug deal and batman comes onto the scene and ends up killing rupert thorne. this makes zucco lose millions of dollars. at the same time edward nygma has screwed up a calculation at wayne enterprises and is fired. he then hunts down the other main guys at WE. zucco heres about him and hires him as an assassin (not a crazed wacko stalking bruce wayne and making a machine to take over people's minds) to hunt down and kill batman. so he is hunting down batman for zucco and also is hunting down bruce wayne for himself. in the end he finds out about batmans identity and goes mad and is sent off to arkham
