Not just depending on if they are popular for the moment or not.
Several things have to be included in the equation: their talents, if they play interesting characters, how they treat their fans, if they have integrity etc

I think the following people have great attitudes, stay out of trouble and have a promising long careers:

Female
Jennifer Lawrence
Jane Levy (She needs that 'it' role still)
Emma Stone

Male
Dane Dahaan

Do you mean young as in up and comers, like under 20, or do you include more established actors already in their 20's?

Emma Stone and Jennifer Lawrence pretty much rule Hollywood when it comes to actresses in their 20's and that doesn't look to change in the near future.

For up and comers, Saoirse Ronan has all the potential you could ask for, and I predict big things for Joey King (she even played Emma Stone's little sister in Crazy, Stupid, Love.)

It's always harder to tell when it's anyone under a certain age. It's about the momentum. Dakota Fanning is slowing down for some reason, unless she's busy with college. But she still has a long career ahead of her; or she can pull a LeeLee Lobeski.

Hard to vote here. Should I go the the ones I like and want to stay in the business?

Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner can't act their way out of paper bags.

I think out of all of them, Taylor is pretty much done. I know he's young and that's not fair for me to say, but I think he'll end up being on network TV. There's no shame in that, but I'm not talking about Game of Thrones/Breakng Bad quality. I'm talking about NCIS style.

Stewart and Pattison, in their defense, have been trying really hard to break away from Twiligth with their indie movies. That's admirable.

But I really think Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson will have long, long successful careers ahead of them.

Radcliffe is doing pretty well for himself. Not like an A list star, but he's getting a decent character actor career going where he's not just Harry Potter, and Emma Watson isn't just Hermione Granger.

I mean, he's found a niche for himself: Broadway and a few indie movies here and there.

It's funny that even back then, I thought Ron Weasley would be the less successful one. I don't know why. Maybe he would do okay on the BBC.

Are there anyone on the list that can make it?

That's bad for Taylor.

Agree that the other two really try. I think they could keep getting roles because they work hard.

Dan and Em aren't in the poll though. They will come later :)

Frankly Rupert Grint is unattractive, and that hurts.

Dane DeHaan is going to be big. He's already a rising star by having a major role in Spidey, but that kid has some serious acting chops.

I think Dakota Fanning will be huge again, I just haven't seen her in much since The Runaways. She was incredibly impressive as a little kid, so there's no reason to believe she hasn't lost that ability or even improved her skills.

I think some may be underestimating Pattinson. He's been doing a lot of independent films lately, and I think he'll deliver some solid stuff. He can be very dry, but I think he has potential.

I don't know what some people see in Jamie Bell. He's like Kitsch in regard to everything he touches turns to ****. If anyone knows any films where he has delivered some unique, notable work please let me know. In terms of his mainstream/commercial stuff, I find him kinda annoying.

Also, I agree with those mentioning Radcliffe and Watson. They're very impressive and I can't wait to see their careers blossom. Great actors.

Saoirse Ronan and Elizabeth Olsen has the biggest potential I think. Also Mia Wasikowska, Dane DeHaan, Emma Watson, Logan Lerman, Ezra Miller, Michael B Jordan, and Elle Fanning

Pattinson is working with Cronenberg and Herzog. I think he'll do fine.

What if we stick to the names in the poll, just for a second :)
Also, don't forget to VOTE :)

I seriously believed that Higmore, Culkin and Robb had more fans here. I was proven wrong.

Freddie Highmore is pretty spectacular on Bates Motel.
Dane DeHaan should accomplish wonders.
Emma Stone and Jennifer Lawrence are fantastic.

I like Garfield, Michael B Jordan, Elle Fanning, Emma Watson, Jane Levy, and few others.

I seriously dont see anyone in the poll having that promising of a future to be honest. At least of the ones I know who they are.

Bingo!

Some of them will have long careers, but they won't be in starring roles unless they move to TV. Many of the names on this list will end up being trivia questions in a few years as they all but disappear.

The Twilight actors will get cast based on past fame for awhile but won't amount to much.
Radcliffe seems to have found a niche that he can settle in to. Watson is an interesting case, the only one I see on this list that could end up with a big successful career outside of the Potter movies, but I think she will more closely follow Radcliffe.

The names I think could have long and big careers aren't in the poll, yet.

Dane DeHaan is doing really well for himself, both in high-gorssing movies (ala AMS2) and more indie films like Kill Your Darlings. His next role is in a James Dean biopic so I think again he'll be good in that.

I agree.

Chloe Grace Moretz and Shailene Woodley, too.
