Owly, if you're unfamiliar with it, is a delightful comic written for kids following the adventures of its eponymous hero as he learns and grows in the forest written by Andy Runton. Owly's received a lot of praise for its art and the fact that its a such a child friendly book in an age when the medium is growing up with its core audience and I think for this and a several other reasons it makes a great candidate for an adaptation that many people may not be expecting.
Here's the thing though, there's no humans. None what so ever. And the animals don't talk at all either which is actually one the book's charms. So to adapt it you can either

- Insert them in there with no real explanation.
- Follow the old Tom and Jerry method of just letting a musical score highlight the action.
- Have a narrator, which what I'm suggesting
My suggestions:
- Morgan Freeman - Sweet voice already the voice of The March of the Penguins
- Sigourney Weaver - Likewise already used in Planet Earth
- David Attenborough - British naturalist and Weaver's predcessor for the original British broadcast of Planet Earth
- Chi McBride - Not as famous as the other three but he also often has a very warm voice
- Julia Roberts - Famous as all get out and already Ms. Charlotte herself
- Julie Andrews -Mary mother****ing Poppins
