If anything, who could replace Thanos as the next big bad that every hero in the MCU gathers up to face as far as villains who could be built up, well there's:

    - MODOK (Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing)
    - Dormammu
    - Mephisto
    - Morgan Le Fay (Sorceress of Arthurian legend)
    - The Leader (Dr. Samuel Sterns)
    - Living Tribunal
    - Amora The Enchantress
    - Blackheart (Son of Mephisto)
    - Molecule Man
    - Tryco, Champion of The Universe
    - Beyonder
    - Return of Johann Schmidt/Red Skull into the MCU
    - Kang The Conqueror
    - Namor The Sub Mariner
    - Victor Von Doom/Doctor Doom

Phase 4 (cosmic) Adam Warlock and the Sovereign
Phase 5 Kang the Conqueror and the Heralds of Galactus
Phase 6 (and hinted all the way) Galactus, the Devouror of Worlds (and show that Thanos was trying to save the universe from him)

Pretty much. The Next Thanos kinda has to be one of these guys. I would consider adding Hyperion to this list.

Then if I had a choice between these 4 guys you just mentioned I would go with Doctor Doom as the new Big Bad

Latveria would be brought into the MCU

After the complete joke the Sovereign were in GOTG Vol. 2 I have my doubts they are even going to be a threat in GOTG Vol. 3, much less the entirety of Phase 4. I can see Adam Warlock being born and wreaking complete havoc on the Sovereign, with Ayesha's creation literally blowing up in her face before he goes after the Guardians and eventually joins them by the end of the movie.

While Kang and Doom are almost guaranteed, I’d also suggest Annihilus. Dude’s the ruler of the Negative Zone and he can lead an(other) invasion of Earth. Create the MCU version of Annihilation. That’d be fun.

I'm bored with villains being thwarted in every single movie.

What would you guys do if Marvel had the villain win in every movie instead of the hero?

I actually wonder if they would then be called the hero and the villain would be the one trying to reign in on the status quo...

Well now we have Black Panther and Captain Marvel, and may be getting Monica Rambeau. Perhaps an Ultimates movie with Galactus as the main antagonist.

I'd like them to go with someone smaller, like Harry Osborne.

Keep things separate on Earth and in Space, it's ok to have a few parallel storylines.

Nope Doctor doom is not a big enough baddie to have the entire line up of heroes against him. Not even galactus is. There is only one thanos.

Galactus can devour a planet without even needing an Infinity Gauntlet, he could literally wipe out the current roster of MCU heroes without a problem, of course he is a big enough baddie.

Not to mention his heralds are always damn powerful as well.

I don't think there will be a next big bad of the Universe. Not in they way they've set it up this time. There will be a few that will challenge for the crown I feel, but nobody specific in a story sense.

This is why I think Osborn or Doom taking a more backseat approach that somehow makes them untouchable is the best way to go.

A mastermind creating problems that often succeed, with our heroes only able to mitigate some of the damage of their actions. Or one plan is thwarted but another succeeds, and it all builds up to the ultimate confrontation when the heroes are finally able to discover or approach the big bad.

I recently started re-watching Avengers EMH and am surprised at the relative lack of villains that have been used in the Avengers and other MCU movies. I forgot how many great villains were in EMH, and so far the only major villains that have appeared in the live-action Avengers movies are Loki, Ultron, and Thanos, and Thanos hasn't even been properly "seen" yet. I know a couple other major villains were in the FOX movies (Dr. Doom, Galactus), but what's with the lack of creativity on the part of the live-action filmmakers?

Dr. Doom would indeed be awesome but he's been on screen before, and I think I'd prefer to see a different classic villain before he comes back again, like Kang, The Leader, or MODOK. MODOK and AIM against the Avengers, now that would be awesome...

How can you really compare 22 minute episodes to 200 m dollar films? Besides, there has only been 2 Avengers films released.

If they had the FF rights I'm sure we would have seen Doom and Galactus by now. Kang is also with Fox.

And then there is the whole thing with Spidey's rogues at Sony.
