Who Created Bane

Chuck Dixon, Graham Nolan, and Doug Moench were his creators. Bane's first appearence was in Batman: Vengeance of Bane issue #1.

And he was almost killed in 1997, drowned by Joel Schumacher's watered crap... :(

From backbreaking genius (he did orchestrate the Arkham breakout) to Uma Thurman's *****.
Sad. :(

He broke Batman's back in the Knightfall Saga but that was not his first appearance.

Do they still portray him as the genius mind in Knightfall or is he a dumb ox now too?

He was pretty smart in No Man's Land, which is the last comic I read that featured him extensively (although he was shown in the last issue of Infinite Crisis, breaking some poor bastard's back.)

He showed up in GK, where it was possible he could be Bruce's brother.....but it wasn proven that he isn't. He found his dad, or something....and left. Didn't see as smart as before though, atleast not to me.

No, that was Batman #497. Which wasn't his first appearence.

I think the bigger question is why? Why the hell was Bane created? Send that character into outerspace on a rocketship with Doomsday and the rest of 90s comics.

Bane was Batman's Venom.

Why the hate on Bane? If anything I want to see more of him in the current and future comics.

There are a bunch of idiots that don't like him and other cool characters, they bash 90's comics for no good reason, the 90's had a lot of cool stuff.

Don't listen to any of the morons on here, they don't know anything, I can see that by the garbage they post, none of em know what they are talking about.

Woah...I wouldn't get that mad at that guy's and other people's comments. Although I have come across few people who dislike Bane.

What Year Was His First Appearence?
It was 1993.

Bane made his debut in Vengeance of Bane #1, and into Batman #487 and Detective #656 in early '93. The Venom super steroid which gave him strength derived from the Legends of the Dark Knight storyline 'Venom'.

I agree with this, Bane was probably the most dynamic rogue created since Ra's Al Ghul or the mishandled KGBeast. The 90s, even with the negative Image-Marvel influence was alot more creative and consistent on the bat mythos in my view compared to this decade and how the writers appear intent to dismantle the continuity built up over the past few decades.
