Line In The Sand

Evolution is a mystery
Full of change that no one sees
Clock makes a fool of history

Yesterday's too long ago
Don't agree with what I know
Tomorrow comes the place to be

I see the line in the sand
Time to find out who I am
Looking back to see where I stand
Evolution, Evolution

See my reflection change
Nothing ever stays the same
But you know the names the game
We don't know what it means
Nothing's ever what it seems
Unforgiven, unforseen

I see the line in the sand
Time to find out who I am
Looking back to see where I stand
Evolution, Evolution

Take thy home

P.S.- Sorry, couldnt resist :o

Lemmy seems like a happy person.

I'm normally not the sort of fellow to double post but I'm about to go to bed...

In a VH1 documentary about the band, Ozzy Osbourne recalled the laughable lyrics of radio-friendly pop at the time, such as "if you ever go to San Francisco, be sure to wear a flower in your hair...," - "screw that,", they said, "let's go over there and scare everyone !!!"

Black Sabbath was and is the best band ever. But there band ended once Ozzy left, Dio can go suck it.

Motorhead has some competition:

:p But really, all the aforementioned bands are pretty kick arse in their own respects.

Question:

Who would win in a fight between God and Lemmy?

My mother was in the original fanclub, back when the first 1000 members got a white shirt, and everyone after that got black. She had the 419th white shirt. Met them about a million times. Played them non stop.

As such, I can't help but reminisce about my childhood when I hear them.

I saw Motohead last yr when they supported the foo fighters in london

that made me chuckle

If anyone isn't a Lemmy fan it's just that they haven't heard of him yet.
I dare say even Pope Sidious, Pat Roberts and your Grandma would have to admit, "Whoa, he is ****ing the coolest."

As for Motorhead I always felt the name and the T-Shirts were the coolest and something to be emulated, but somehow I never heard any Motorhead when I was a kid.

Years later my band opens for this Rockgod band from LA, and they played, by far, their best song ever.
I enthusiastically came up after the show to say "DoO0o0Oodz! That new song kicks ASS!!!"
And of course, they had been doing a cover of Ace of Spades for fun.

But sadly, later, I saw a Motorhead tape at MacFrugal's for a buck.
Super-excited, I took it home and it was terrible.

I still am deficient in my Motorhead knowledge, but decades of documentaries, Rock magazines and VH1 have clearly taught me that if everyone modeled themselves after Lemmy it'd be a Rocking Mad Utopia of Coolness.
