I think this storyline is being dragged on for much too long, even though it's supposed to be the big deal for '08.. I didn't like the aftermath of house of M, Decmation, or Civil War.. the Marvel Universe I grew up liking is just rended to shreds.. I'm sick of conspiracies and bumping off people in mass numbers just for the heck of it..

photo, you have been on edge lately!:wow:

Starting new threads for old topics has always irked me.

"be over with"???

It hasnt really STARTED yet. And no, im looking forward to it, in fact, despite the writer. :yay:

i didn't care for the civil war storyline either i agree with you

I just wish both major publishers could go one month ONE. MONTH. without an "omg, we're all gonna die and the universe is never gonna be the same" crossover. :cmad:

Stop buying the crossovers and they'll stop making them.

Cap, you're like my not-so-evil twin. This is the second thread that I came in to say almost the exactly same thing. Don't you wish Bendis would've pitched this and had this discussion:

JQ: " Hey Slott, get over here. Brian has an idea that he'd like you to develop."

BMB: "Uh, I was actually thinking of writing this myself..."

JQ: "Oh, Brian...."

Actually, no. I'm really looking forward to this story. It makes sense with all the crap that's been happening in the MU. I do wish someone other than Bendis was writing it though. It's like no one other than Bendis and Millar can write "big events". I'm thrilled that Yu is on pencils

Not to mention, continuity suffers under Bendis' writing. As if Marvel comics don't have enough of that. . .

Too bad what actually happens is more like:

BMB: "I've got this idea..."

JQ: "Lackies, cancel however many comics we need to make this happen from the bottom of our sales charts. Brian, you have carte blanche: use whoever you want."

Other Marvel writers: "What if we're already using those characters/that idea/anything that interferes with Brian's plan?"

JQ: "Work around it. You'll manage."

But if other writers wrote events, they might actually be good. Like Messiah Complex looked it might be (even though it's turned out not to be so far).

I meant that as a thank-god-no-other-writers-write-events-as-crappy-as-bendis-and-millar thing.

True. But who would know since they're the only one's that are allowed to write them. :whatever:

I haven't read part four yet, but it hasn't been so bad. Could be worse I guess. I'm not all that excited about it, though.

Thank goodness for solid books like Daredevil or Cap to keep things grounded.

It's not terrible, but it already felt like it was dragging a bit in the third part.
