We see batman is Branding criminals Zorro style leaving his mark...

We know Snyder is somewhat channeling Miller DKR, amongst others obvious things, he's going back to the Zorro inspiration origin, which Miller reinforced.
And having an aged grittier/vigilante Batman actually branding criminals.

If your thinking, no way that's a misdirection, obviously a criminal setting Batman up to look like he's gone extreme...
Consider the Hottoys Batman figure accessories, and one of them is clearly the branding tool he uses. -

But what about this guy?

Whoever you think this villain is, as he approaches ...you can see a certain "branding" on his chest.
Although this one does not look like a Bat brand.

Has Superman ever been known to "brand" anyone with heat vision?
Seems pretty extreme?

What about in any incarnation by Miller?

Why not ask that on the All Things Thread?

I don't post here that often.
There's 230 (x 900 page) threads with that subject, and the last page I opened was discussing bobble heads, and box office predictions not story.
Figured finding out where this was discussed would be next to impossible, and I might get the obligatory - it's been discussed already, move on- comment. And none would direct me into which of 230 threads it was at to generate discussion.

Although I'm still searching, that thread moves so fast, but I now realize this might be worse.:O

Also it's weird the mark / brand is pretty much in the same place.

I really think people are reaching on the idea that the mark on Doomsday's chest means anything.

This is supposed to be Batman in an emotionally dark place (darker than usual), so I have no doubt it's Batman.

I imagine he'll come out of this Frank Miller funk by the end of the movie through his interactions with Superman.

Yep, and I think Wonder Woman's input will have an effect as well, as a voice of reason.

Wonder if this is a common theme for Batfleck. :hmm

Would be interesting if we overheard a couple of thugs talking about things like.

"Hey Jimmy, you've been branded by the Bat yet."

"No not yet, you?"

"Yep, last month when i was robbing this old lady in an alley way, dude means serious business when his partner died"

Something like that. :O

No question the set up he starts off in a dark place till they come together, we know they're forming the JL, it's in the title.
Just how dark does Superman go though?
Hence the brand on on Bi(Zod)rro?
Has Superman ever done anything like that.
Is that even what it is?

Also if a mod can merge this with All Things or the Doomsday-Bi(Zod)rro thread?

this is clearly Zod's stretched out suit which has similiar Logo like S.

My photoshop skills are menial, it seems like it'd sync better with a reversed old school "classic" logo, if someone else wants to try.

This one really syncs well.
Especially as I fade from one layer to the other.

Maybe flipped, although it doesn't quite sync.

Agreed. Although I can sorta see it, I can't help but think back to that first photo of Batfleck besides the Batmobile, people were insisting they could see Joker's face in the background smoke. People will see things where they don't exist, like Jesus' face in the toast.

LOL those two did seem like a stretch.
I never saw Joker's face in the smoke, it made little sense, and JC on toast ...LOL!
This might at least have some in-story precedence, and comic visual reference.
I acknowledge none of the symbols I depict here sync well, (if anything they do better to actually help eliminate them) figured I would post them anyway.. My original implication was it might me an erratically scared heat-vision branded "mark", which would be imperfect anyway.
But more importantly although it makes sense for Batman, seems out of character for Superman.
If it's Zod clones (implying there may be more at different levels of "incubation"), it could be number "branding" using the krypton diamond simply as a frame, then stretched as it "grew".
I admit it's all a stretch, actually prefer this was merged with the better speculation thread, ...
Agreed. Although I can sorta see it,
= "sorta". ;)
