Who Killed Odin

I just read recently that Odin was killed by some alien race? Get out! Odin is like, the most powerful in the comics. Doesn't he create universes and bring people back to life? No little alien race is even close to being as powerful as Odin. Can you let me know if this true?

Surtur is a Norse fire demon. He ruled an entire realm in Asgard's dimension called Muspelheim. Back in Simonson's Thor run, it took Odin, Loki, and Thor's combined power to take him down.

Well, to tell you the truth, it was more of a murder-suicide really. Odin kamikazied himself right into Surtur's stupid face.
