It will probably be Vulture. They're ruining out of A-list villains too use that haven't been on-screen yet. Vulture, Mysterio, Scorpion, Carnage and maybe Kraven are left. I wouldn't call Black Cat a villain but she's long overdue.

I can really see Vulture being the main villain in this but I'd love a secondary villain as well. Maybe Shocker?

I wouldn't be opposed to using him eventually as it opens up an interesting story to tell for Peter(Coming Home is one of my favorites, think it's one of the best Spidey tales). But I think that 1st story with Morlun worked because it comes at a time when Peter is confused and lost, and he has to question everything when these figures enter his life telling him everything he knows is wrong. I don't think a conflict like that should come until after he grows up more.

My hope is Vulture with this movie with a focus on street-level baddies like the Maggia as well (specifically, Hammerhead and Tombstone). The second movie can have Mysterio for a more epic-looking movie (it'll also give distance from Doctor Strange, which is going to be even more trippy).

But how would that work. Both of those are villains who should be main villains. Mysterio and Vulture.

I have never been able to picture Vulture as anything other than a side threat or reimagined as a hitman. With people like Kraven and Mysterio on the table, it would be a huge disappointment for me if Vulture was THE villain. But that's not what the rumor said, so I'm not going to worry about it.

As far as I know nothing has been confirmed. The source BMD got the title scoop from, however, was the same source for the Vulture rumor. And again, BMD made a point that Vulture was probably NOT the MAIN villain.

No, I'm pretty sure the source article said Vulture would be A villain in the film. The source never claimed he would be the big bad.
