Endgame teased a potential candidate
I've always wanted a BP vs Namor film...BUT...tge visual effects! The first BP had some serious issues in this department for Wakanda alone and to jump straight to showcasing Wakanda AND Atlantis maybe too much of a big ask. They'd need the best of the best of the best working in this. Furthermore, I don't want Wakanda suffering another infrastructural attack so soon after IW. Show us the might and wonder of a functioning Wakanda and lastly I need T'Challa REALLY going all in, displaying ass-kicking martial arts/acrobatics in his movie. His physicality has been infinitely more impressive in the 3 Russo bros directed films he's been in moreso than in his own film. Coogler, fix this now!
when did they do that?
When OKoye gave her update on Wakanda, she talks about earthquakes underneath the sea off the coast of Africa. It could be nothing or planting the seeds for Namor in Atlantis to cross paths with Wakanda
Oh right. I didn't even consider that. Thanks.
I would love to see the introduction of Atlantis, but this will robb the action of the rich world that is Wakanda. I want BP2 to explore this world and not a world outside
I also don't see the reason why MCU Wakanda, a landlocked historically isolated country, would be in conflict with Atlantis.
There's lots of ways you could bring Namor's Atlantis into conflict with Wakanda.
It would be nice to introduce Kraven in a Panther film to set him up for an appearance in a future Spider-Man.
There has got to be some way for Klaw to come back as a more comic accurate version than what we got in the first film. I don't know enough about the Panther's villains to suggest who might have a hand in making this happen.
I think with Amy Pascal now at Universal the chances are pretty good to see Namor turn up in the MCU somewhere, perhaps the first FF movie.
I hope it’s true. It’s probably not but it would be fun. I kind of want to see marvel’s zoras haha. Gee playing namor would be fun. I wonder if he’ll ever get his own flick?
I hope this is true.
Namor as main villain, with Kraven as a tease villain (much like Klaw was in A:AOU), so he can be used properly in a future Spider-man film
This is what I thought. It would have to be more that BP is sensing a threat to all of Africa rather than just Wakanda, otherwise he's not going to be going down to any coastline.
I would love for them to bring back Klaw. I don't know how though, unless somehow he were brought back to life by sound. If he had died via a sonic device, I would've speculated that this didn't really kill him but converted him to pure sound energy. But the way he died in BP was just in a more normal way.
Would also be great if Pascal could use her influence to allow Namor to show up in the MCU. I'd like the first FF movie too if not BP2.
Just read a rumour that Namor is being targeted as the villain for BP2
Yes, it's above.
I hope it's true as well, but We Got this Covered is very unreliable - to say the least
I'm not in love with this right now since I'm hoping for a more "real world" story (still want the MCU's Enemy of the State storyline) but I'm sure it'll be interesting. I like what I've seen of their dynamic in the comics, but I'm still very perplexed as to how they'll get the Wakanda vs. Atlantis conflict if that's what's being brought in.
Okoye said something about an earthquake in the ocean. I don't think its random. Namor might not be in Black Panther 2, but I believe we'll see him in the MCU.
She is the reason we have Spider-Man in the MCU so it seems very likely....
Me too. It's only a matter of time, but I know his rights situation was a little tricky
Namor would be a great confrontation.
I think if they can't use Kraven, they could use Sabretooth. Madame Slay or someone hires him to take out T'Challa.
Not sure what being landlocked has to do with anything. It could be over vibranium for all we know. More of the world is aware that Wakanda has that resource at this point, I assume.
I think he can already show up, similar to Hulk. Just can't have his own movie.
