I was rewatching TDKR last night, and I hadn’t seen it in a while, and now I genuinely think it may be impossible to top Hardy’s Bane. Sure it wasn’t that comic accurate, but it was transcendent. That’s one of the greatest cinematic villains we’ve ever seen.

I wouldn’t go so far as to say Hardy’s Bane is nigh impossible to top. It’s certainly an... idiosyncratic performance but there’s a couple different takes that I could see someone like Bautista excelling at (Gunn (or whoever); take note of the opening scene of BR2049 for how to properly use the guy’s physical presence.)
