Who should draw the opening credits?

We know they are going to duplicate what they did in the second movie as it was very popular but given what Ross....has uhm....said about the movies I doubt Sony will be inviting him back.....so who then?

I thought given the second movie is a Pete/MJ love story with Doc Ock and is Spider-Man: No More, it would BE GREAT if John Romita Sr. did it. But that may be way too geeky to even consider.

So who would you like to see reanimate the second film at the beginning of the third?

i think this thread could be really good if it was deeper.

first, have we had a confirmation from anyone that they will for sure be using a similiar technique/intro for SM3

second, if we are going to talk about different artist that should be used, i think we should present some of their art

A few people come to mind:

-John Romita Jr. would be great, by fare my favorite artist on Spider-Man. If I'm not mistaken as well, he did work for the first film (or was at least in contact with Raimi), so it could be possible. Plus, his Spider-man work is distinctly creepy, which would fit well with the new film. On the other hand...

-Mike Wieringo could work, seeing as how Spidy 2 was a lighter film than the one coming, and the recap with his art would reflect that.

-Mark Bagley has drawn Spider-Man probably longer than anyone, so he would work as well.

-Tim Sale. Simpley because he's Tim Sale.

i think it would have drawings from Spider-Man 2 since Spider-Man 2 had pics of Spider-Man 1 in the main titles but i don't know who''s drawing them maybe they will work otgether we will just have to wait and see

I think they should do it in CGI again, similar to the way they did Spidey 1, except when the chorus kicks in for the individual villain the symbiote she start crawling up him. I love the drawings too but I just couldnt see them doing it again, especially sense the symbiote will mostly/hopefully have soemthing to do with the intro.

I say do something different than the last 2 credit sequences.

In the first movie you had all the CG models, the webbing, and everything, and the city. In the second movie you had the Alex Ross recap of the first movie. So keep it in line and do something different yet again for this one. Something related to the symbiote maybe.

I kind of remember how the opening credits sequence of Daredevil basically ripped off Spider-man's. Yup, there was a movie they really wanted to emulate.

I think it would be cool if they opened the film with drawings like Mark Baigley's style, with drawings from two of course, but with actual word bubbles with key phrases from 2. Make it look like its flipping thru a comic. I'd be a sweet twist IMO.

^^ having said that though, i thought about it and came to the conclusion that maybe something new and different should be done... something dark, yet something with love since m.j and peter are together now...i just don't have a specific idea right now.
