Who Should Play Loki??

I've said this all along myself. Jason Isaacs would be the best Loki. It's hard to say who they will use though. It would all depend on if they go with a real young Thor, or a seasoned Thor. I would prefer the latter, and think this would give Issacs a better chance at the role.

Jason Issacs really epitomizes a lot of what I would imagine Loki to be. Just look at his roles in The Patriot, and in the HP films, and it's very obvious, IMO.

Again, I always saw Loki as being the lanky little dork who got the crap beat out of him in middle school, and grew up to become a manipulative *******. Isaacs might be a good choice, but the problem is, I don't see him being whimsical. Loki is supposed to be the god of mischief. While he's messed up in the head, he does have a sense of whimsy and a flair for the dramatic.

I'm not sure who I'd cast, but here's how I see Loki being portrayed:


He's very charming, is an unparalelled wordsmith, and can make you trust him when you have no reason to. He is the best damn con man on the planet. He's got the demeanor and personality of a particularly mischevious game show host, often making a specticle of things and messing with people for the hell of it. And all of that is in contrast to his psyxhtotic need for vengence against the people of Asgard. He is very vengeful and very dangerous, but his hatred has merit. He was made into a social pariah and his children were exiled to the far corners of the nine worlds. He's very much like one of those geeks who brings a gun into school and shoots the school bully. His feelings are rational, but his actions are highly irrational.
