I don't know if this thread has already been done, but...here goes.

I have 3 choices and i would be more than happy with either of them

> Vinnie Jones
> Ray Stevenson
> Henry Collins

One actor that doesn't have the chops to do it (if he could, he would gain respect from everyone) but really looks the part is Patrick Warburton

Ray Stevenson, definitely. We're probably three seasons away from Negan, though. I imagine the 5th season will be all about cannibals, the 6th will be establishing Alexandria, and it won't be until around season 7 that we'll get the Hilltop, Kingdom, and Saviors.

Whoever Kirkman had/has in mind when he created him.

I'd actually like to see Christopher Meloni in the role. But then again, much like the Governor and other characters, they may not cast an actor who looks like the comic counterpart.

Henry Rollins, when he was a little younger, would have been perfect. He still might be able to pull it off. Stevenson also isn't a bad suggestion.

Holt McCallany would really kick ass, although I've still got my fingers crossed that he'll show up as the Punisher in Marvel's Defenders series.

Just googled him. I can definitely see him as the Punisher

Henry Rollins. At least that's who I recall reading that Adlard based the look of the character on. He was great on SOA, so I'd be on board with it.

How old is Negan supposed to be?

His age is never specified, but here's what he looks like:

I'd guess mid to late 30's.

Ray Liotta may be a bit on the older side, but would still be awesome.

Yeah, he'd be perfect. he's got the build for it too (or at least he did during Lights Out). Check out that show if you get the chance; it was great and a true shame it didn't make it past the first season.

Also, Frank Grillo might make a good Negan (he also might have made a good Punisher, but he's Crossbones).

I hope this doesn't sound insensitive in any way, but I have only read the summaries of the Negan issues and never saw any of the artwork, so I always imagined Negan to be African American or Haitian, especially with his odd speech patterns and such. I wouldn't mind them going outside the box for the casting when it comes, but once I found out he was a white guy, it kind of diminished the character, or at least my expectations/visions of him.

Michael Madsen might have been a good Negan 20 years ago, but he's a bit old now. Same with Ray Liotta.

Ray Stevenson and Henry Rollins are both great choices.

If we're thinking outside the box, maybe Javier Bardem.

I definitely like the idea of Holt as Negan.

Christopher Meloni I also feel could nail it.

Was just going through the forums and came across this. Based on that picture, it's a bit of a stretch, and it goes against my feelings on having big name actors associated with this show but what about... Adam Sandler.

If this Negan character is as sick as people say then it wouldn't even seem like Sandler and I think people would be absolutley glued to it.

If Sandler could channel his 'Punch Drunk Love' self, instead of his insipid 'Jack and Jill' self, that could actually be crazy enough to work. He'd have to beef himself up though.

Henry Rollins would have been perfect 15 or 20 years ago. Bruce Campbell is another actor who, if he were a lot younger, could have embodied Negan's maniacal madness. He's a bit old now unfortunately.

Nowadays, the best choices are probably Chris Meloni and Ray Stevenson.

Right. We've seen serious Sandler but I don't think we've ever seen hatefully evil & maniacally twisted Sandler. I mean, the thought of him bashing Glenn with a baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire... it's kinda shocking how captivating it could be.
