Homecoming Who should reboot villain be? (Poll Version) - Part 1

Since there is a general version of this thread, I figured a poll would be a good option too.

I just wanna see Mysterio because it also gives Spider-Man a chance to face multiple villains. Mysterio makes robotic clones of himself in some cases which can allow them to all fight Spidey at once in an epic scene.

You don't need the Sinister Six to have Spider-Man take on more than one villain.

That would be incredibly lame though, to have Mysterio create robots of villains who haven't even appeared yet.

Got dammit. No, I mean have him create robots that look like him.

I always pictured mysterio opening up the possibility for some amazing/out of this world effects

At the same time, if they go with Mysterio, I hope they don't fall into the trap of making the film too much of a CGI fest.

Oh yeah, I still want lots of real world hand to hand combat and action in the film at first but when Spider-Man is facing Mysterio in the final act(if he's chose) I want it to be visually stunning, as Mysterio tends to make his illusions as realistic as possible.

Other than Mysterio there's also Kraven. If thy were to ho with Kraven I'd want a forest fight scene or a zoo fight scene something in Kraven's environment where he can dominate the fight despite basically being a human. Unless they decide to give him the Spectacular Kraven treatment(I talk about Spectacular Spider-Man way too much).

If they go with Vulture I can see alot of Air placed battle's but I don't exactly know how it'll be pulled off. Vulture would be great but he's one of the harder villains to pull off.

If you could see a remake of a particular Spiderman story in film, what would you like to see? End of the Earths would be great IMO but it would have to happen sometime down the line when the characters are established.

I suppose if you want a different kind of villain visually and one that is just as cerebral posing a challenge for Spidey then Mysterio is a great one to start with. He would be the main villain with someone like Kingpin lurking in some capacity behind the scenes. A good way to differentiate from any previous movies.

Superior Spider-Man...XD kidding. I guess I'd like to see the Clone Saga.

I'm not sure if it is popular on here but I loved the Superior Spiderman. I thought it was a great run. It would never happen in a movie of course as it would be too distressing for the little kiddies but I would have no problems if they did that for a movie.

I'll be honest the entire concept of Superior Spider-Man angered me at first. Still kinda irritates me abit. But if there's one thing I have to admit, Ock's Spidey was a badass. It was like a personification of what Peter would be had he grown up more like Otto. But it still angered me for some reason.

Granted I'm a massive Spider-Man fan so I wouldn't pass up reading a single comic. In any case I could see a Superior Spider-Man film in the future for adults. More hero mature films can be successful as Man of Steel and Dark Knight Trilogy proves.

I thought Ock was very interesting as Spiderman. I remember there was one time he was on a date with MJ and he kept saying things like "we will proceed with" and "everything is going according to plan" etc and Parker (who was a ghost at that time) said stop speaking like a super villain. I lol'd at that one, I have to admit.

I remember Peter's ghost. I saw a moment where Ock was trying to...*ehem* with MJ but MJ rejected him and Peter was all like "Ooo, rejected! Screw you Ock!" something like that that made me laugh.

I'd really just like to see Spider-Man face the Sinister Six in live action for once, that's actual one of the reasons I was pissed when the Webb series ended. Or that scene from the comics where he's trapped under the machine and lifts it using the last of his strength despite all odds. That was really chilling for me. They did it in SSM too.

I was going to refer to Chasing Amazing's top 10 list (I still can), but number one is 300 which wouldn't be a good first story. Number 2 is Spider-Man No More, which was heavily borrowed from in Spider-Man 2 (it also won't be a good intro for that reason). Number 3 is the death of Gwen Stacy, which it would be nice if they did right, but was just done in The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

Given that, I'll probably go with number 4 on his list: If This Be My Destiny...

It's got one of the most iconic scenes and it would be a nice small scale ending of perseverance rather than a climatic battle. The only question is whether we're ready for Doc Ock again so soon (although Green Goblin is there all the damned time, so why not).

I'm also partial to the Sinister Six story where Spider-Man loses his powers but tries to save the day anyway and gets unmasked by the Six.

They did that in the 90's series too right? The last one where the Six unmask Spider-Man?

Superior Spider-Man sounded strange to me too. At first I thought it was more of what if or kind of multiverse thing, I mean Doc Ock taking over Spider-man in the main canon? Get real! Nope, I was wrong. It sounded.... "interesting" but my friend told me it's really good so I gave it a shot.

Freaking love it! I wish there would be a Superior Spider-Man movie and cartoon. Superior Spider-Man alright, patrols the streets more efficiently, finished school, got things done, turned in results and killed the bad guys which... didn't bother me at all. Loved it so much I got this hanging on my wall now...

I'll agree that Ock's Spidey was more Efficient in terms of dealing with crime. Makes me wonder if they'd do similar concepts with other heroes. Have Bruce switch minds with Abomination or Ross. Stark switch minds with Justin Hammer or Modok. Cap switch minds with Red Skull, Thor switch minds with Loki. Reed switch minds with Doom.

An entire Superior Marvel Heroes Series. It could be and interesting take on things that's for sure.

The older we all become, the more attached we are to the person under the mask rather than the alter ego and the powers. Or so I would imagine this to be among the reasons why any long time fan would be displeased with Superior Spider-Man. I for one did not enjoy the idea of following around someone else pretending to be Peter. I had enough of that in the 90s with the clone saga. I do agree that Spock is pretty hardcore. He was the only enjoyable element of Spiderverse.
