Homecoming Who should reboot villain be? (Poll Version) - Part 1

Put me on the fans of Superior Spider-Man train. I haven't enjoyed the Spidey comics that much in years. Making Ock take over Peter's body and life was genius and they pulled it off brilliantly. I knew it was never going to be permanent, so I enjoyed the ride, and it was a hell of a great one.

Speaking of Superior Spider-Man. Since we're talkng villains how about Alistar Smythe for a potential villain. This version to be specific.

I don't want to see Smythe as a superhuman/cyborg unless we see regular Smythe first. He should start as a regular guy in a wheelchair building spider-slayer robots.

Wel yeah of course. But after al his robots fail he turns himself into the Spider-Slayer in a sort of "To get something done right you gotta do it yourself" style story.

Yeah maybe. I liked the TAS approach where Kingpin forcibly turned Smythe into a superhuman/cyborg, after secretly hiding his father from him. Not only was it tragic for Smythe, but it showed how evil the Kingpin can be.

Let's do Mysterio this time, but also introduce the Green Goblin and put him as the main villain in the sequel! The 3rd movie should have black suit Spider-Man vs. Doc Ock. Any of this would work excellent and probably other combinations too! They just need to handle Spider-Man properly and stop effin' things up!

Hi! I'm new here but I've lurked here and there. Personally, I'm hoping for Vincent D'onofrio's Kingpin and Norman Osborn to be the one's pulling the strings, at least in the first movie. I'd love to see Mysterio or Kraven be the villain in the film. Preferably Mysterio in this one because he's such a unique character who I think would look great, visually. I would leave the Goblin alone until the third film just because Norman should be properly built up before becoming the Goblin. Plus, other villains should be given a chance.

1. Welcome to the Hype.(I've always wanted to say that)2. Completely agreed on ll those points I'd love to see Kingpin behind everything and crime. But you know what I'd also like to see him come out in public to meetings and stuff as Wilson Fisk. He owns a legitimate business too.It'd be nice too show his confidence, He knows he's the one behind all the crime but it doesn't really matter because everyone loves him and he's a respectd businessman so no one suspects it.


(Except Spidey and Daredevil ofcourse.)

2. Agreed. I think the Daredevil Netflix Show will probably show that. But, we cannot assume everyone who sees the next Spider-Man movie will have seen the show (Though I hope everyone does because it looks great!). I think for Fisk and Osborn, they have to make them three-dimensional characters, so they need to show what Fisk relationship with Vanessa, Norman's with Harry, etc.

Agreed, I love to see Harry and Norman interact more. We don't get much of that inthe films lately. I'd imagine Fisk will be very developed by the end of the first season of Daredevil. Osborn on the other hand is a completely different story. I imagine his first appearance would be in the 2017 film. So before he could even interact with Fisk they'd have to develop his character first.

As for Kraven I'd want to imagine the scenes they can do for him. Hunting Lions in Africa and killing them with his bare hands. PETA would hate it and boycott the film but it'd be freaking awesome.

If Kingpin is the badguy, then I would prefer it if he was more like the 90s Spiderman TAS version rather than the Daredevil one (despite me thinking he was done well in Daredevil).

Patton Oswalt. Mostly known for comedic work such as his role in King of Queens. I think he could pull it off, if he wasn't already in the MCU as the Koenig "Brothers".


Kevin Chapman (best known for his role on Person of Interest) is still my top pick for the role. He's an extremly versatile actor and can hold his own in fight scenes despite not having a super-hero type physique.

I'm not a fan of the idea of Oswalt as Doc Ock.

However, if you want to see something where Oswalt is heavily featured, I'd recommend the comedy series King of Queens (I'm a fan of that show!).

Oh I watched king of queens when I was younger. Mostly because of Kevin James though. Never knew any of the other actors.

I wouldn't mind seeing a kick ass female villain but I don't think Spiderman really has any great female villains. Alot of his female villains seem to be either supporting henchwomen of male baddies or female versions of Doc Ock , Venom, and Scorpion as opposed to original villains in their own right.
