Endgame Who should take down Thanos?

But tptb made a big deal about it in Infinity war, I doubt they will do so again. Thor is not killing thanos, I'll be shocked if they go that route again.

I think the "taking down" of Thanos will be so complex anyway so that you won't be able to point to one character as the person that did it. Sure... Stark can come up with a plan and Cap can lead the team but they still need EVERYONE else to pull it off.

In what way is it serious to point out that your argument wasn't applicable since it depended on taking my previous post out of context, and therefor outside my intent? It seems like the most basic part of communication to point out misunderstandings, otherwise we're not having a discussion but rather holding two separate monologues. If anything I'd say that dragging in apologies is the thing taking the step into the realm of seriousness.

That said I think it would be a great call back if it comes down to Cap and Iron Man and they make reference to that moment betwen them.

I REALLY doubt that Nebula will get the final blow. I mean...it makes good story sense for her...but the audience is not as invested in her (she might be my favorite) and I will admit that if this is the culmination of The Infinity Saga that dates all the way back to Iron Man, then it doesn't make sense in THAT story.

So...my proposal is this...

Nebula gets the Infinity Gauntlet. Has a few words with Thanos about how her sacrifice will be to undo the great dream and accomplishment of Thanos. She snaps...and everyone comes back to life...with Spider-Man and the Guardians on Earth because the Gauntlet can do that. She dies in the act.

Captain America stands up..."AVENGERS ASSEMBLE!" and everyone comes to him in groups...and Cap leads a full team assault on Thanos.

Thor delivers the blow that sends Thanos to the ground, defeating him.

Thanos is defeated and down. He says a few words...blah blah...and Iron Man puts him out of his misery. That way, the Saga ends where it began.

All that said...I REALLY hope that Nebula doesn't die.

It would've been great to see Cap finish off Thanos with Mjolnir (which, of course, grants its wielder Thor's strength and power.) But that's just fanservice-y thinking on my part. Realistically, it'll take the combined efforts of several key characters to fell the purple man. Given that, I'd just like for each of them to have their respective moment in a way that we won't soon forget.

I would most like to see hulk take him down in a rematch, but, I dont think, no, I know, not any single member can take thanos down.
It will take them all to do it.

I always pictured it being a group effort. I pictured Iron Man, Rhodey, Wanda, Captain Marvel, Thor, Vision, etc all hitting him at once with their full power. I can see Thor finally getting that headshot.

I basically want all of them to play a part, except for Quill who can go die in a fire.
