Who Watched The Oscars?

I just got tired of her "in your face" man-look. I mean...who doesn't know she's a lesbian????????? :cmad: She comes out in a suit and white sneakers looking as dude-ish as possible! Heck Ellen...why not put on a bow tie...don't stop there! :whatever:

You know what??? If she really wanted to get people talkin'....put on a evening gown or at least a more feminine looking pant suit.

LOL, yeah she should totally based her wardrobe based upon your raging sexual insecurities.:woot:

The Departed won, which makes me happy.
The only thing that really pissed me off was the cinematography award.
Lubezki's work was like seeing Leonardo paint the Last Supper.
And for him not to win is an outrage.:cmad: :cmad: :cmad: :cmad:

I don't get what's so appealing about watching super rich, spoiled people pat themselves on the back for receiving undeserved, over-inflated paychecks.

Why isn't there an Acadamy awards show for doctors or teachers? Oh, that's right, they aren't "entertainers", silly me .

How in the world did Happy Feet beat out Cars, for best animated film
The music I think.
Because Dew warned them if they don't let her pengies win she will send her army at them :dew: :dew: :dew: :dew: :dew:
With rockets on their backs?:-p
er, Cars? Monster House should have gotten that.
Because compared to Nemo and The Incredibles, Cars was a horrible let down. It was pretty much your typical sappy romantic comedy, only animated. Plus it had Larry the Cable Guy in it and any movie that features Larry The Cable Guy, recieving an oscar is one of the signs of the Apocolypse.
Monster House should've won though.
Totally agree.
I'd just be pissed off that I spent money to go to the lamest of the Disney parks...Epcot.
I feel bad for my friend who works at Spaceship Earth. Not only is he in the lamest park, he has an ugly costume/uniform.
It actually has some pretty good rides as of late.
And the best places to eat.
Yep actually.
Why do people always think that the way gay/lesbians dress/act are always because they want people to "know" they're gay?
Because they're small minded, idiotic, homophobes.:)

I had no idea peter o'toole was still alive, and I thought Scorsese had it bad not winning an oscar, this guy was nominated 8 times and still has yet to win one.

I'm glad that the Departed won though.

did you not watch or read who the best director is?
Scorsese won!

That was a huge upset...1 of maybe 3 tops. I don't remember the face he made when it was announced though. So I can't back that.

I know he won, I'm glad that he won he deserved it too. What I'm saying is that O'toole has been nominated like 8 times and still has yet to win one. Everyone talks about Scorsese what about O'toole? :csad:

Wrong. It's because that show wouldn't be entertaining.

OH! I read what you put down wrong.
Yeah, Scorsese has agood 30 years ahead of him. O'Toole has what, 10 at the max.
All of the actors in the best Actor cat. were pretty young, they'll have the chance to win an oscar again.
O'toole should get an honorary oscar next year.

Murphy should have won best supporting actor i think. I mean he may not get a chance like that again, and its always nice to see unexpected people get oscars. But unfortunately Little Miss Grandpa had to take it, if it was going to be someone from that movie, it should have at least been Carell.

Pans should have got best foreign pic too. Del Toro deserved it.

Other then that i agree on everything, so it was a good year:D.

The departed is an amazing film, and it shows that Scorsesse still possess the skills he had 15 years ago when he made goodfellas, and for that he deserved an oscar, nothing pitiful about it.

Movies are an art form. Perhaps the most mass art form of all time. The Oscars is a forum to honor that art. Oh, and if you don't like it, just don't watch or make pointless posts about it in a thread that is clearly about it.

IT WAS FOR THE OSCARS, for cryin' out loud.

Its not as if she was wearing a flannel shirt and dirty, worn out blue jeans. She was perfectly presentable. Just because she didn't conform to what you think a woman should wear does not mean she was not dressed up.

I'd rather have Seinfeld or Colbert.

Seinfeld would be great. Colbert...Colbert is a political humorist, and he really only works when he is in character (which wouldn't really fit the Oscars)

I watched some of the beginning, got bored and did other things.
But when i came back home I got back in time to catch the best actress, best actor, and best pictures awards, whichi s all I really care about seeing.

The Oscars are too damn boring and stuffy. The music they play throughout the whole thing just...makes me want to vomit.

I wouldn't want him in character, but he's done plenty of hilarious stuff outside of his pundit spoof character.

Maybe, but now-a-days all he does is in-character. Plus the public would expect it.
