If I was the AI, I'd slowly take over a company either using a human pawn or a human personality over a secure connection and use them to become huge. I'd have the company branch out into aerospace and asteroid mining. Then send up a 'probe' with the Ai on it and leave Earth to the dumb monkeys while space was mine.

Depends. Probably they would follow the person that created their software or the person that owns the software. Like I would assume if I got a AI robot in the future, it would obey my orders. It would be the next smartphone with some glitches.
