Who do you think will be the definitive villain for 2013? Hope I didn't forget anyone!

I have yet to see Mandarin, but Mickey Cohen looks like it has even academy potential.

no mention of dicaprio from django unchained? i'm looking forward to seeing him cut loose in a villainous role.

also like the look of kingsley's mandarin, eccelston's maleketh and shannon's zod.

Hopefully Bolg. I feel like I'll be disappointed; you can't have such an awesome looking character as him without the character being 'Fett'd.

I saw ten minutes of Star Trek into Darkness. I'm guessing Benedict Cumberbatch.

From what I know already, Benedict Cumberbatch's character in Star Trek: Into Darkness.

Something tells me that Shannon's Zod is gonna wipe the floor with Kingsley's Mandarin.

Penn's Mickey will likely be a strong contender too.

Just one scene of a flash of Zod and I can safely vote Zod.

After that 10 minute preview of Into Darkness, I have to say that "Gary" seems like he's going to be fantastic... especially considering that he was only on screen for like 10 seconds.

Smaug is someone I've loved ever since I saw that animated Hobbit movie as a kid. He holds a special place in my heart and Benedict is also playing him so I know it'll be awesome. Jackson knows how to do his villains imo, and Smaug, if done right, should be a very memorable enemy. They've already started him off right with the prologue in The Hobbit, so I have high hopes.

I've heard good things about Secretary Rhodes in Elysium so I'm curious about that on, although I'm more excited to see Sharlto Copley's "insane" character named Kruger.

Really can't wait to see Shannon's interpretation of Zod in MoS, though. Something about Shannon is so creepy and cold... if he channels that into Zod for the right scenes, it's going to be a sight to behold. What really makes Zod special for me, though, is he'll be the first enemy that finally engages this modern Superman in a physical battle. Dying to see that!

The Mandarin and Malekith deserve a special mention.

All in all, I'm going to go with SMAUG! His "I am Smaug!" speech to Bilbo should be fan-frickin-tastic to see in a movie.

Bolg is another one I'm excited to see just because of his appearance. How can someone who looks like this not be badass?

I'd say Zod but Smaug and the kaiju are going to be a close second

I need to see the Star Trek prologue. Of all that I've seen so far, I'll say Mandarin for now.

By the way, the SHH movie awards discussion thread will be up tomorrow!

I loved that old cartoon as well. But I hate how they changed the original sound effects with the DVD.

I say a character played by Cumberbatch just to make the odds better. :D

Did they? I hadn't noticed.

I noticed it big-time. From the comments I've seen on youtube, IMDB, etc. I'm not alone in that. If you can get the original version I'd recommend that over the remastered crap.

I used to have the original on VHS but now I can't find it. :csad:

I'll have to look for it and pick it up.

On the basis that Benedict Cumberbatch is playing a villain, I'm gonna go with Benedict Cumberbatch.
