Nicholson's Joker didn't STEAL anything. It was willfully given to him. Much like Jackman's Wolverine in the X-men franchise. It was NEVER a movie about Batman, the whole movie was an origin story of the JOKER. A twisted love triangle in which the JOKER tries to steal Bruce Wayne's girlfriend. The relationship with the JOKER and HIS sidekick, Bob the goon, and not Batman with his aprentice, Robin. It was about the JOKER's plan to end all of Gotham, and then Batman comes in to stop him at the end. It was the same in most of the other movies in that franchise...but it was Burton who started the trend when he gave the JOKER top billing in a movie entitled BATMAN.El Payaso said:Nicholson's Joker stole the movie because he was planned to have more screentime and the story is obviously told from his POV.
