Grant Morrison's Batman or Paul Dini's Batman. And yes I'm only looking at the two main Batman titles. But what one do you think is better?

I'm in the minority, I'm sure, but I like Morrison's. For me, it's very much a throwback to classic comics - in both mood and characterization of Batman. If anything's wrong with his comics, it's his plots. IMO, at least.

Dini's Batman has really disappointed me, actually. He seems little different from the pre-IC Batman, and hardly anything like Dini's fantastic interpretation of Batman in BTAS.

I can't believe I'm actually agreeing on something with Phere, but Dini's batman is better.

Dini's Batman by a mile.

I dunno, I don't think there's much wrong with Morrison's Batman, just Morrison's Batman stories. (like CConn said)

I like both.

i think both are fantastic...but i think morrison is far superior.

I like both, but if I had to dump one, i'd dump Morrison's.

I may have said that until the last issue.

Now if Dini still had JH Williams with him, that would make the choice harder. Now JH is teaming with Morrison in June...So the edge goes to Batman for the time being.

I'm judging primarily on BTAS, so Dini is it for me. He knows how to right great Batman stories. No offence meant to Morrison.

Morrison by a few inches.

If the question was "Which Bruce Wayne is better" then it would be Morrison by a light year.

i like them both. together they give a complete picture of the character.

Dini makes him a character and Morrison makes him a Caricature. The choice for me is simple.

How does Dini make Batman into a character in his comics so far?

Honestly, with his self-contained format of writing, I've seen very little progression in Batman's character to speak of. As I said in my first post, it's as if it's just pre-IC Batman in issues featuring various villains.

In the current comics? I thought we were talking over all. Sorry. But, I still find Dini's more entertaining.

Yeah, I would like clarification on that. Still, I think it's quite unfair to judge Dini's HUNDREDS of BTAS episodes against Morrison's relatively few comic issues.

But still, my point stands; while you may prefer Detective, Dini has already done much to really characterize Batman in those issues. IMO, at least.
