The book is very good. James Ellroy is almost as good as Dassiel Hammett or Raymond Chandler in the black novels. And the movie looks pretty good. One of my must see of nex cinema season.

I'm really looking forward to it (as my thread says) and for the record Ellroy is all right but he is no Chandler. And Curtis's LA Confidential film is one of the few exceptions when the movie blows the book out of the water though.
