Why Are Dentists Evil?

I had to have a root canal today My mouth is numb, I feel like a stroke victim when I talk and eat, and it hurts.

It doesn't help that my dentist looks exactly like Tobin Bell. I mean exactly

It was super expensive. Why are dentists evil?

I don't think dentists are evil, but I've never met a dentist I've ever liked. They're like doctors in that they love money and overcharge the hell out of you and they're like creepy people in that their life's work includes and even emphasizes putting their fingers in stranger's mouths.

funny. my dentist looks like an 85 year old version of jigsaw.

the second i step into an office, i get sick to my stomach right away and i feel your pain with the root canal.i have bad sinus' so when i get root canals, i'm in terrible terrible pain.

I was in the exact same situation you were two weeks ago (Well, my dentist looked more like Catherine Bell, but that's beside the point). I recommend either extra strength Tylenol or even some Motrin. The pain should subside fully by Sunday, Monday at the latest.

And just be grateful you weren't in the Elephant Man

I had to have a cleaning, a root canal, and some gum cleaning because I don't go every 3 months to get a cleaning and so they whine about that. The bill was like 4 grand, insurance covered half so I get to pay the rest

I do go to an expensive people's dentist though. I once had one of those budget dentists and he was a nut job. The tooth that had the cavity, he filled it over and that is the same tooth that I had to have a root canal done on today. So, his faulty job gave me this wonderful pain.

****! Did that not hurt like ****? They numbed by gums and then did the local anesthetic but you can feel that long *** needle going an inch into your face and then them drilling into your tooth.

He offered me nitrous oxide, I should have taken it

yes it hurt, obviously...how the hell could it not hurt?

My dentist's office is in my neighborhood like 5 blocks from my house and his assistant is an old high school and college friend of mine. She never fails to call me a day before with the "I scheduled you for first thing in the morning hun." It's no fun trying to walk home 5 blocks hopped up on silly gas with everyone on the street who knows me thinking I'm stoned that early in the morning.

not a damn clue. they've not worked on me since i was like 12...which they discovered after injecting me three times to try and pull a tooth out i might add...

Yeah, I would have wanted sweet death after a root canal with no anesthetics.

No thanks Dr. Whoverine. Your awesome healing factor to prevent anesthetic use is not worth the 45 minutes of pain. You should have been given a discount or a medal or something.

I had a root canal done about a month ago and I had it done by an endodontist. Next time, try one of these. The freezing didn't hurt, the root canal didn't hurt, and there was no pain after the freezing went away. No need for pain killers. I don't know if it'll always be like that but endodontist's specialize in root canals so you're in better hands than a dentist.

Wow. I've never had a bad Dentist experience, and non of my Dentists have been scary or evil.

My dentist is great. Probably the nicest guy out of all my doctors. My dad thinks he's one of the best doctors we've ever had.

I've known a number of dental students. It's pretty simple. Most dentists don't go into dentistry because they enjoy working on people's teeth. But because they enjoy $$$.

Some of them are nice, but some people in every career are nice.
