Why are so many women getting tattoos?

How do you feel about women with tattoos?

  1. Look sexy/hot!

  2. Some/most look nice

  3. Don't care either way

  4. Leaning towards "whateva"/not liking the fad

  5. Think pretty disgusting/trashy

It's a personal expression of their creativity or something. Either that or they just want to piss off their conservative parents.

If it is a form of rebellion or expression, all the more power to them. I rebelled by watching slasher and Hammer films.

All I know is that the presence of them is an automatic turn off, for me.

Thinking someone is in "moral decay" because they have tattoos impressively manages to trump sexual orientation for pettiest, shallowest reasons to judge someone's morals.

I have an aunt who thumps her Bible at everyone and says people with tattoos are freaks. She also lies and steals, and dumped her dog by the roadside in the middle of nowhere when it got hold.

I have a female friend who has multiple tattoos and adds more on a regular basis. She is a hard-working, honest, sympathetic person who doesn't lie to or steal from anyone and takes in abandoned dogs, keeps some of them for herself, and helps the others find homes.

The dirty, filthy, morally decaying tattooed freak is leaps and bounds a more respectable individual than Auntie Bible Thumper any day of the week, in my book. There's no question which one I trust more (the latter I don't trust at all).

I know right! First we give them the right to vote. Then they want to leave the kitchen and get into the workforce. And now? They're getting tattoos. Where will this madness end?

    :whatever:

Also, a rhetorical question is a something you ask when you don't expect an answer. Asking a rhetorical question on a message board is well....dumb. Rhetorically speaking.

    Sing it, brother!

BTW, I didn't say anything should be illegal....I just said it speaks of this attention-****ing/defecate my body for attention culture that is poisoning this country. One out of 4 women have a tattoo? throw glob of ink on God-given body for heat of moment?

Why is it a sign of moral decay?! I think your post is a sign of holier-than-thou, prudish, self righteous brain drivel.

Simple question: Why is it ok for men and not ok for women?

    How?

It's none of those things. And no, I'm not bothered by women with good figures getting inked up. Women get tattoos because they like tattoos. They think they look nice and they think they're kind of cool. Obviously it depends on the quality of the tattoo, but in general I agree.

Please explain what's wrong with tattoos.

I think tattoos are stupid for all, but they're pretty much associated with masculine activities/behavior. Read the title of the article I linked...women are now engaging in rebellious behavior just to make a statement...pretty unattractive if you ask me.

And men can engage in rebellious behavior and women can't, why?

Do you have any idea how vast a variety of tattoos there are?

Yeah, the thread title alone made me raise an eyebrow, then I saw the "moral decay" part and just had to roll my eyes. Silly thread.

No one asked you. But if it means anything, they probably think you and your judgemental attitude is pretty unattractive too. Live and let live. Why do you care?

So what your saying is that women engaging in typically masculine activities and behavior is a form of rebellion, and that's a bad thing.

But with more women getting them aren't the associations changed?

Also, what will they think of next, wearing pants instead of foot length skirts? The scandal of it all!

All I'm saying is that it ruins the scenery...when you're out noticing nice looking women......in a non-lustful way...:o...it just makes shake head to see marker paint on their elbow or back of their neck.. I'm like.. really?
