Why the producers of this show want a very slim and emo-looking Flash? :loco:

He shouldn't be big and ripped. He's a speedster, they should be lean.

well I prefer lean and ripped closer what bruce lee looked like or what micheal weston of burn notice look like then ovelyr chunky or beefy ripped. so I'm Good with grants look even if not there on ripped side.

I certainly prefer the leaner look, Flash is a runner, and most runners are very slim. Not sure what you mean by emo though. with the exception of depressed future Barry's hair in the last ep. Grant doesn't come anywhere near being emo.

Honestly, there's a difference between being "lean" and that thin. For me he look a bit skinny and I would not mind if he bulked up a bit without losing the lean aspect.
Since real runners are the reference here, I'd say a lot of runners are also bulkier than G.Gustin.

I think it is his body, he is probably the kind of person who has to put way more effort into building up muscles.
That aside, I agree that Barry shouldn't look like Superman or Batman, but if you read the comics, you see that most artist respect that but still give him a very toned physic. Grant, unfortunately, looks more like a stick-figure than anything, and this version of the costume doesn't exactly help.

Hugh Jackman is 6'3" with Grant's lean and lanky body type. He worked out like crazy to get where he is. It would only help Grant if he did the same, at least pack on some effort. Sprinters who look like Usain Bolt whom is muscular yet still lean.

I doubt that Grant's body will react to training like Jackman's, some people just don't pack on defined muscles and Jackman certainly doesn't belong to that kind. I do agree, though, that Grant definitely could put more effort in it, and I guess he probably uses the believe that a sprinter has to be lean probably as an excuse to a certain degree so that he doesn't has to do so.

Yeah - I don't think he needs to be muscular ripped...but some definition would be decent, think spider-man in any of the movies...thats a good build for the flash.

This.

Well, considering that Flash is a sprinter and not a long-distance runner, he should be somewhat big, at least his legs. For me though it's a non-issue when it comes to this show.

the problem with the lean and ripped look is that unless you're wearing a fitted shirt or just plan shirtless that leanest doesn't show

his wardrobe and costume really does him an injustice in that department, they always have him in bulky overcoats and wearing layers, and the suit it self doesn't highlight his features at all

I mean look at him here on set just hanging out in shirt and jeans Vs what he wears in the show

or here looking more like the flash then he ever did in the show lol

He doesn't need to look defined all the time, just when he is the Flash, but with the choice of costume and his current physique that is not going to happen any time soon.

Well he's none threatening unlike what John Wesley Shipp looked like on the '90s show.

How about the actor for that Justice League film. He isn't muscular either.

It's not necessary for Flash to ever be ripped considering he's a speedster. I remember Grant responding to some people trolling him about this very thing on Twitter around season 1 or 2. :funny:

He's fine as is. So is Ezra.

He's fine

It is interesting that Supergirl is more muscular/bulky than the Flash. Especially the thighs.
