Why do you think Spike TV decided to cancel Blade?

Because America can't stand a Black Superhero..just kidding. Im Black btw.

STICKY FINGA'S!!!

When we first started discussing Blade here on the Hype I said that this show would last 2 seasons because of the chosen Blade. Well, I stand corrected, it only lasted one season!! I would have loved to have seen what happened when Marcus found out that Krista was working for Blade, but I guess we'll have to assume he killed her and Blade just moved to another city.

Spike TV never hyped it up and when you got an actor by the name of Sticky Finga's what else do you expect?

Possibly:

- Spike's crappy promotion for Blade. (Similar to JLU on CN :whatever:)
- Too much budget. (But I doubt that's the reason)
- Sticky Fingaz was Blade. (I had a problem at first, but then I grew to like him in the show)
- Spike being dumb.
- Spike obviously not thinking.

They decided that time slot could better be filled by constant re-runs of Star Trek: TNG and CSI....

The same reason bullies, bully people:

Becuase they CAN!

The people that say that SpikeTV never promoted the show are blind.

Not to mention they CONSTANTLY repeated the show like every night.

They promoted it all over the place. Also ads in comic books and magazines targeting the demographic.

Why was it cancelled?

I think that the show was SUPER expensive had something to do with it. This was the most expensive TV show on the network.

A second season? More expensive and more money. So SpikeTV honestly didn't feel the ratings reflected how much it would cost to keep doing the series.

Something similar happened to That's My Bush. The show cost around a $1 million or more per episode. The show got some good ratings, but not good enough to justify the high budget of the series.

Also, television shows, BETTER television shows are cancelled all the time before they've even gotten a chance to establish themselves. This is not the first time. It won't be the last.

Deal with it.

Somebody's angry.
Good points, btw.

Well I had to come up with some since people don't want to look beyond their own feelings and actually try to understand why it was cancelled.

Yeah, I guess.
I liked the show, but I have to admit, I was venting.

I watched the first 3 episodes and didn't care for the show so ....low ratings?

Why Do You Think Spike Pulled the Plug?

Because Spike is obviously run by idiots. They cancelled a great show.
