Just saw the trailer for Spider-Man 3 and like everyone else, think it looks awesome.
But I've realized something about the Spider-Man series.
It is the only superhero 1,2,3 that has kept the same cast and crew throughout the run AND started off with a bang!
Sam Raimi, Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunnst, James Franco, etc....
Superman I was a terrific movie. Once Richard Donner left, it started to fall apart. Margot Kidder only had a cameo in Superman III.
X-Men lost Bryan Singer and look what happened.
Batman lost Tim Burton and Batman Forever wasn't that bad of a movie
but a new Batman (Val Kilmer) didn't give it the same feel.
Fantastic Four, Hulk, Punisher, all average AT BEST in the beginning so they present no challenge if they ever make it to a third film.
With the failure of Elektra, Daredevil probably won't be jumping on any roofs soon.
I was never much of a fan of the Spidey comics, but unless you are a truly blind fanboy, you have to admit, this is how all comic franchises should be treated on the silver screen. Take notes Hollywood, this is how you do it.
