Why wasnt Never say never again in the New dvd collection sets?? it says it contains all bond films, but this one wasnt in it

Because it wasn't produced by MGM or EON.

But on the back of the dvd of never say never again, it has MGM on it

That's because MGM obtained the film distribution rights to Never Say Never Again in 1997 after their acquisition of Orion Pictures. Plus it is a remake of Thunderball. There is a wiki of the whole Thunderball controversy

Check it out.

yeah Kev mcclory or what ever his name was ****ed TB like there was no tomorrow.

It's owned by MGM, but it still doesn't fit in with the other Bond flicks. It'd be nice to see a Special Edition though. Commentary by Kershner. Too bad McClory bit it though. Maybe have been good for a commentary. Really, I wouldn't mind seeing a reworking of the movie. Add the opening gunbarrel, pre-title sequence, use the Bond theme and replace the score with something more Bondian. I actually heard of a fan edit that took a stab at this, but haven't seen it myself...

It's called Never Say McClory Again and it's possibly the best fan edit ever. Completely professional.

And let's not forget, MGM traded their Spider-Man rights to Sony for their Bond rights (Sony were intending to make a rival 007 franchise).

It worked out for the best at the end of the day.

Yes indeed, and thank goodness it did, or the Spidey movie franchise could be forever tangled in legal webbing.

Yeah, and Sony now owns Bond anyway. lol.
