I don't see why this would be a shock to anyone, regardless of what individuals might say, Nolan's Batman is indeed grounded in "some sort" of hyper realism. Yes, of course, Batman is a pretty extraordinary character, but in terms of reality, he is still plausible. Having Batman around Superman or the Flash would negate the whole reboot of the character, IMO. If they were to place Bale in that situation, then they should've just made the Joker Permawhite & Ras Al Ghul immortal. This new Batman works only because of the approach being different and fresh. After Nolan's done, then by all means, return Batman to the gothic fantasy we've already seen numerous times with another actor, no problem. Even Jon Favreau stated that working Thor into the Avengers might be difficult, and he portrayed Ironman in more of a fantastical way than Nolan's Batman
