I figured most Nintendo guys and gals wouldn't check out the Rock Band thread in MP too much for this news, so here ya go.

I really hope Rock Band is coming for Wii. Right now, I just cannot justify buying another system due to budget constraints, and I'd love to own RB. If PS2 is getting it, I don't see why Wii should be overlooked.

Guitar Hero didnt do DLC. That doesnt mean Rock Band wont. Even if they dont, it's out for PS2, and that doesnt do it either. They've said in the past instead of Rock Band 2, they're using it as a format unto itself, meaning it'll be done with DLC and expansions. They could easily do an expansion disc every 3 months, alternating whats on it as such:

New content
DLC released on a disc
New content
DLC released on a disc

And so on.

You can download new games and stuff via the Wii....why couldn't you download songs as well?!

Guitar Hero 3 for wii has been reported to start using downloadable content... sometime in quarter 1 08. So, who the **** knows. I seriously need some new songs, cause I'm tried of playing the same ones over and over again.

agrees... id love to get this for the wii... but until i know im not getting half assed like marvel ultimate alliance i wont and will just get it for a future 360

I'm getting RB for sure, and I hope Harmonix and Nintendo will work out the details to make DLC possible.

If they don't end up having downloadable content, I'm hoping the version they release on the Wii will include a good portion of the DL songs from the X-box/PS3 versions.
