Just a general question. How long are the Wiimotes suppose to run off batteries? What's the general life span?

Yeah, shortly after my Wii passed the 35 hour mark (or about there somewhere), I had to change the batteries in my primary wiimote.

I've played 40+ and my batteries just went onto the 2nd bar (out of 3). The trick is to turn off the sound in the Wiimote.

To do that, press Home. Go to the bottom that says Wii Remote Config. Then turn the Vol all the way down.

I kinda like the noises. :(

Nintendo needs to find a way to make the batteries last longer than that.

I find the noise annoying. You can really improve the battery life by turning it off. And don't worry, it will go on your TV instead. My friend's brother had his sound on and his 2nd pair of batteries are going to die soon. I'm still on my first pair. Now I turned my sound off on day 2. He just turned his off yesterday when I showed him.

Good tip. But I'm just going to buy rechargeable batteries.

Sometimes rechargeables don't work. My wireless 360 one doesn't work with rechargeables (which caused a huge problem with my controller). I'd still suggest turning the sound off. That way you save electricty or batteries and it is less annoying (at least IMO).

I like the sound. Especially with Tennis.

I think that's long enough.... and like someone said, use rechargable battery.

That must just be something screwed up with your controller or those batteries. Me and my friend uses rechargable batteries with our 360 controller, and it works fine.

Possibly. What brand do you use? I use Energizer.

30 hours sounds good. That would last (if I were to play 5 hours a day) 6 days. Wait! Hold on!! 6 days?? That means I'd be buying batteries all the damn time :(

I was thinking about buying a new mouse, 'cause my mouse is wireless and is constantly running out of power :(

Jesus 5 hours a day

I did it Thursday through Saturday. My Wiimote still has some juice in it.

I've learned self control with Zelda. I've got a whole bunch of work these days, so I wait two days or so to turn on my wii, but when I do, I'm easily playing at least four to ten hours a day.

I had to change the batteries today for the short little hour and 30 minutes I got to play because of life. :(

I also turned the sound off. It seems as if something's missing that way. :(

Same here.. I dunno.

I just tried it again and it seemed that the spring in the controller wasn't touching the pointed top of the battery. Fixed it with some aluminum foil.

And today my Wiimote went into the red with one bar. Still got some juice left in them before I go to the rechargeables.
