Looks like a physical copy to me going by the packaging.
That's just what they photoshopped. I'm pretty sure the same picture was there for the Zelda bundle, and it was a DL code.
I would be surprised if they did that. That'd be a deal breaker for me.
Are you talking about this?
Game comes in red case.
Sweet, looks like a physical copy! I prefer those to digital, especially for Nintendo. Good stuff.
With the 3DS I don't really mind, since, it's actually kind of nice not to have to carry around those cases (though they are quite nice).
But with a home console, they better give a physical copy. Especially given the Wii U's tiny hard drive.
Thanks for the info.
I am probably gonna get Pikmin. I really want a physical copy of Zelda. But then again, money doesn't grow on trees, so I might just get Zelda with the code.
Completely agree. I like physical copies anyway, and the small hard drive doesn't help matters at all.
I'm pretty sure every game that the Wii U has come bundled with has been a physical copy outside the WW bundle. It's been the opposite of the 3DS bundles.
Mario or Pikmin
The WW bundle isn't physical? That's good to know. Nearly bought one today on impulse.
Yeah, it's digital. That's why I thought MK was going to be digital, too.
What's the point of that? That would dissuade me from getting the bundle. Not just because I like to show off my cases, but the Wii U already has such a puny hard drive. The money they save by not including a physical copy is negligible. They don't even need to negotiate with a third party company like Microsoft and Sony because they make the damn game themselves.
The guys over at Yahct Club just tweeted that ShovelKnight is set to release. No exact time, but that's good news.
Well, I think you can add hard drive to the Wii u pretty easily. I haven't done it, yet, but I hear you can. But really, I don't know why they chose to do that. The 3DS kind of makes sense, so you always have the game on the go. With the Wii U, I don't know. I guess since it's a Zelda themed console, they demand that a Zelda game always be on it. Always.
Also with the 3DS, you can easily put in a bigger SD card.
Not all that different from plugging in a new HDD, though, is it?
I still find it idiotic. Cartridges store their own data. The games available on the 3DS virtual console are tiny.
How much would it have cost Nintendo to put, let's say a 128 GB HDD in the Wii U?
Virtual console games on both the 3DS and the Wii U are tiny. They're a few megs, at most, for both. Full size games are big for both, though. But Wind Waker was less than a gig, if I remember correctly. If it's a big deal, just buy a new HDD. I don't think they're that expensive anymore.
External you mean?
Why don't we just go back to memory cards?
Nintendo's new slogan should be one step forward, two steps back.
They get together cause opposites attract.
I also forgot, you can put in a SD card for the Wii. Can you load games on them?
They just released an official video for a Gamecube adapter port for the Wii U. I think I'll pick one up, just so I can play my original NES and SNES controllers on my Wii U if I want to, and it'll be nice if someone wants to play Smash with a real GC controller.
Hope its cheap.
Hope that means they'll release some new GC controllers as well. Mine have seen some ****. They don't work so good anymore.
You can buy new ones in the packaging on Amazon.
