yipes.. if this happens, it's going to cause some major delays... hopefully the negotiations can be resolved..
I want to see all the marvel films on their designated schedules...

Strikes only happen in booming or normal economy. The actors will still be very glad if they can work like it is now.

This is the reason that the start of IM2 was pushed back from January to March, to give this time to play out. The strike ballots have not been mailed out yet, another strike so soon after the writers strike will mean bad news for Hollywood!

I dont think sag will get the 75% vote needed to go through with a strike, people need the work right now. Unfortunately we will get screwed in the near future when movies bypass theaters and go STRAIGHT to the internet....NO residuals!!! sighs... sign of the times... :cmad::angry:

I hope marvel films ALL stay on track also....

Well, the writers' strike worked. It's just that with winter coming actors won't be protesting outside studio lots.

The writer's strike did work, and I think that's the same deal offered to SAG, which they are turning down. The writer's strike also shut down production for so many months that many of the average working Joe's in Hollywood are still trying to recover from it's impact. A second strike this soon will really screw a lot of people who never get residuals. I am not saying the producers are offering a good deal, I am just saying a strike now is going to hurt a lot of people!

Disagree. 3D movies are the new Hollywood and you need theaters to get the prime effect. Home theaters just won't cut it even when you have a 100" LED backlit flatscreen, 120Hz and proper stereo separation. AVATAR in IMAX 3D? Holy crap. Theaters are here for a long time.

True.

Still, SAG will have more leverage over AMPTP thanks to these harsh economic times.

This would allow them to hurt studios much more then the WGA in their strike.

The Writers Strike made Conan O'Brien go mad on his own show and it made for some entertaining TV, especially a bearded Conan.
