So with the last 3 spider man movies get a lot worse reviews then sm 1 and 2 and with the box office getting worse and a lot of fans confidence going down and down after asm2 and with asm2 only making a little over 700 million will asm3 make at least 700 million or will it be the first spider man movie to make less then 700 million WW? Now if the movie was coming out in 2016 like it was before the delay I would say no way it would make 700 million or more has 2016 has by far the most big movies in a year ever so changes are with the movie coming out in 2018 that the movie will face less compation then it would have if it come out in 2016 plus a extra 2 years of inflation. I am going to be optimistic and say the movie make more then asm2 even if not a lot more and makes like 750 million WW.

The only way it can reach that kind of money is if Sony hired some great writers like John logan of Vince Gilligan and let Marc Webb do his own thing and not edit anything out. Not only would it receive positive reviews but it will make twice as much money.

People seem to be losing faith/interest in this series pretty rapidly.

I see another worldwide drop on the horizon so they better be prepared to slash the budget to minimize the damage.

I don't think it would make twice has much money. I think to many people have lost trust in sony after the last 3 movies for it to go up that much. But if asm3 is good then I could see asm4 going way up if it is good to has a good asm3 combind with a good or great asm4 would get people to be confident again.

You would think that if TASM2 can make $700M worldwide with all the backlash it got, TASM3 should be able to replicate similar, if not better, results.

That's also why it's so crucial they don't drop the ball with these spinoffs; they could definitely effect the interest people have for TASM3.

I do notice that alot of people are losing more and more faith in this movie. If Sony hadn't out stuff from both the movies then they would be saved. The sinister six is their last shot as of right now and hiring Goddard is a great idea but that doesn't mean we can ignore the news about the sinister six and just because you have Goddard work on the movie doesn't mean we can ignore some news about TASM 3, the new female spin-off and venom. We want some great news like talented writers and directors and no signs of meddling. That's we we ever want.

Yeah, maybe if they postpone the female spinoff and let Lisa joy Nolan to work on the script of tasm 3 that would be solid

Last night I went back and watched the deleted scenes for TASM1, and I just shook my head the entire time in disbelief.

Me too. Of Sony ever wanted to keep the rights then acting like a greedy company isn't helping. Spiderman is suppose to be their reason for surviving right? So the best thing they can do is let Marc Webb, drew Goddard and every creator working on this entire franchise and let them do their own work. If you keep meddling with their work then nobody will ever see a spiderman film from you guys again and you will lose money. Just let these guys make some great films and great spiderman films

That is just the stuff they put on the dvd has there is even more stuff that they didn't show us same thing with asm2. You could like make 2 more movies with all the stuff they cut form asm1 and 2.:funny:

It will break that mark based on Spidey's ongoing appeal, but that doesn't mean everyone will be happy.

So sad but so true :funny:

Yeah, that rarely happens. It's like they are trying to piss us off but they are just losing more and more of their audiences and fans' trust in them. It's like they're trying to kill themselves

Even sm3 had a lot of delected scences but not like this. I swear the people that are editing these movies must not now how to edit a movie while.

While the first movie has its deleted scenes that can help I really don't see the same happening to 2 since a few useful deleted scenes are Harry and Peter and the suit, chasing Gwen, Harry's transformation and Harry attacking oscorp with 1scene being 9 seconds and the other 11 seconds. There are just lots and lots of useful things in 2 that truly help capture the essence of the characters and help the story and plot entirely well. I just have no idea what Sony was on when they did this to the movies

That is the frustrating thing is that a lot of the thing people complain about in these movies with the stuff that was cut would have ether been complety fix or improved by a good amount. Harry felling rushed, lack of action ect. I wonder if sony could go back in time if they would still have done a reboot or if they would have not cut has much form the movie or what? SM 3 made a lot of money and had sm4 been made changes are it would have made more then asm1 so you ask why did they reboot then? While I think the reason they rebooted was because they probly figured that if they do sm4 that it would damaged sm more then a reboot would. So what I mean is they probly figured if they did sm 4 it would make more then a reboot would but that after that they would be worse of for sm5 or doing a reboot then instead of before. So they probly though a reboot will make 700 million and sm 4 will make say 900 but then a sm5 or a reboot after spider man 4 would only make 700 where a sequal to a reboot meaning asm2 will make a billion or something. The problem is that is not how things have turned out.

That is why I want a diertors cut so much. I don't think I have ever heard of a movie having so many delected scences before had ones that would have mad the movie a lot better to.

It's hard to disagree with that.

I can't think of many films that have had as many deleted scenes as TASM1 and TASM2.

When I went back to watch TASM1's deleted scenes the other night, two scenes jumped out to me that could have served as elements bridging the two movies together.

When Connors meets Peter outside his house to comfort him about losing Ben, he says, "We have to be greater than what we suffer." This is the same line Gwen used in her graduation speech.

The other scene is minor and shorter, but I think Peter kissing Gwen on the same clock tower she eventually meets her death in TASM2 is something that has to be kept. It wasn't even that long, so why not keep it?

I bring these up because I've read a few members saying they didn't feel like TASM1 and TASM2 were even in the same series. That's slightly far-fetched to me, but scenes like that stand out when you go back and watch them.

Let's not forget about Peter helping his aunt around the house asking about her condition while cooking. That scene would've made for a better execution before he sees Gwen knocking at the door about why he didn't come and comfort her. It just shows Peter growing as a character while hiding his guilt. He just has to move on forward. Literally EVERYTHING in both movies would've made them incredible and yet they messed them up twice. I thought all they wanted was to keep the rights to keep their company afloat. Heck, it's their ONLY thing that was suppose to keep them standing and yet they had to play the greedy company in this situation and piss off alot of people. Look at the situation they are in now. What the hell did they expect to happen when they screwed around with 2 movies. These two films wouldve made plenty of awards, money, positive reviews and even a stronger fan base. It would also not having that stupid Parker luck come to life seeing as how many adaptations are getting good treatment. Sony should just focus on making a great spiderman franchise and tamper with some other franchise. It's a dumb idea to meddle with spiderman especially since he's the oy thing that can help your company from falling

And some people even joker and doctor octopus question why we even need both versions of the directors cut? They obviously wouldve made the movie better. This isn't about comparing it to Raimi's films this is about wanting a great spiderman film Especially from Webb and garfield

Will it make 700 million?

I voted NO based on TASM2 perfomance. But then I remembered we got Goddard's S6 coming first and that movie has a chance to gather some goodwill for TASM3. We'll see I guess.

That's something in particular I've thought about a lot.

There's actors in both movies that could certainly take a category or two at the Oscars if they were fully utilized.

I feel bad for both Andrew and Emma in that regard. Even if they both do great in their roles, the film's overall performance also determines how much attention they get.

It's great that we have Goddard working on the 6 but just because Goddard is working on the film doesn't mean we cannot keep an eye on it because we really don't want any signs of meddling. So let's just remember to keep our heads between our ties alright?
