Dr Strange has the time gem around his neck. They will be coming for him too.

Based on the Dr Strange movie, the sorcerers arent any good at defending themselves, I gotta say.

What is this post/thread about? How is Strange dying next year? The guy is just starting with the whole multiverse concept for the MCU.

No he won't die. Cumberbatch is a big name and is likable so he is locked in. They probably didn't announce his sequel because they want people to think he may die. I don't expect them to announce a BP 2, Ant-Man 3, Ms. Marvel 2 either both Avengers are done.

Spider-Man 2 was announced because Sony and they wouldn't kill Spidey.
GOTG3 was announced because that is a team not an individual.

Dr.Strange Mordo credit scene basically confirmed sequel.

Yeah, as suggested above no way is Marvel killing Strange after such a successful debut outing. They also stalled production until Cumberbatch was available so having clearly showed that he was one they desperately wanted they are going to want to use him more, not less.

Most obvious sequence of events is that Strange gets his ash kicked during which the time gem is taken from him but he is either saved or uses the sling-ring to escape before the killing blow is dealt.
