While X3 wasnt a hit with most critics this time, It was a hit with the average movie goer and some comic fans(we tore up the box office this weekend)! But will critics reviews play into Fox greenlighting X4 in about 3-5 years from now?

I doubt it, critics are little better than leeches....as far as Hollywood goes money talks.

That is like listening to Harry KNowles about movies, that guy is the worst reviewer around. he blows so much smoke about crappy movies and downtalks good ones that one of his buddies or a studio that is not catering to him makes. Reviwers suck.

If they make a X4, I really hope they listen the reviews, and also the fans thoughts about characters development and screentime, also the during time.

I think the fans opinions matter more than the critics. They are wrong with alot of movies

I agree, it doesn't matter how much critics bash a movie. If it's profitable, a sequel is made.

Well, the reviews haven't been all negative. I'd say that the critical reception overall has been mixed.

But it doesn't matter. Movie studios are there to make money. Hopefully they end up making good movies too, but where the money is, they will follow.

well, since more fans than critics go to see it, i think marvel will listen to the fans. but by the time the next one is made, marvel will be producing the film, not fox. Marvel will need this movie in its slate of upcommers to help soften the blow of any flops. And how many superhero movies have the critics liked anyway?

With a 120 million dollar opening weekend i think fox i contenplating weither or not to stop at X-3. I mean they sure did leave it open for a possible 4th movie. As all comics do. Yet to it just did not feel like and end movie to me. The end seemed like it winked at the fans saying gotch yah about this being the last film. The real Last Stand will be when we get Brian back after Wolverine.

See Charlie's Angels 2, Garfield 2, etc...
