Are they ever gonna give him the big screen treatment? I can see Robert Downey Jr. playing him.

At the moment, there are too many of these movies cropping up about illusionists.

Maybe in a few years time ;)

Well I mean right now I know they are working on a film revolving around a descendant of Harry Houdini taking place during the present day I am just curious why they didn't just go with a Harry Houdini film instead.

I thought they already made a movie about his life. Two actually - one way back in the 1950s and TV movie a few years ago.

A movie about Harry Houdini was made in the 50s. It was tittled the great Houdini and starring Tony Curtis as Houdini and Janeth Leight as her love interest.

The movie was very entertaining, you should watch it.

Yes I know. But it had a ton of factual errors. And a tv movie is just that...a tv movie. I am talking about a big budget, star studded productionon the big screen about this interesting man's life.

Well there've been countless movies about Elvis, so maybe Houdini will get his some day.
