Will leaving a dvd on the menu screen hurt the player or dvd ?

I just left my dvd player on and the menu was in loop for over 22 hours. Just wondering if it is possible that doing that can cause harm to the disc or dvd player ??

Unless the player overheated while you left it on to the point of melting the dvd then it might still be ok but don't make a habit of it cause overheating can cause damage to the software & other components in the dvd player.

Your dvd player has smoke coming out of it. Unplug it right now and call 911.
