Interesting topic. We haven't seen what the public/police reaction to Gwens deaths yet. Perhaps Jonah could maintain that Spidey did it and sow some seeds of doubt in the publics mind. He could also perhaps use Spidey short retirement as indication of his guilt

Honestly, the police/public reaction is something that should have been addressed in TASM2. TASM3 will probably take place a few years after her death. Judging by TASM2' s ending , which takes place several months later, it doesn't seem like they've turned on him.

I did questioning this myself after the movie...

how do people think she die? how was her body even discoved, where did Spider-man bring her? or did he call 911 and just tell them where to find her? was Spider-man still there when they came

I mean, I guess people probably witnessed the fight between GG and spider-man and saw them going into clock tower... so, they may have called it in and the cops showed up, found her dead and Harry unconscious an assumed he did it (there might have been evidents, an eye eye witness accounts that spider-man was involved) but, I don't see why they would blame him

but, yes, as other have said, enough time has passed where I doubt this will be addressed

I think Electro cleared out the area so probably no witnesses. But I mean given Electro and Green Goblin were there. Probably one would assume Spider-man didn't do it.

Let's start at the beginning. Spidey needed something with his webs and Gwen was with him. They run into a cop who knows Gwen's father was Captain Stacy. Important to note COP SEES SPIDEY AND GWEN TOGETHER.

They use the cop car. Every cop car has a security camera with audio. Even though the front hood was up while they were working, the audio was still working.

Spidey leaves and Gwen steals the cop car and runs Electro over it. The cop car will pick up the audio of Gwen and Peter's conversation with themselves and the Goblin. As you can see, when the Goblin arrived the cop car still works.

The car possibly picked up the audio of Gwen and Peter and Harry.

Even if they didn't, every cop car is registered to a cop. The cop Peter and Gwen talked is likely the car's owner. We have the cop seeing Gwen and Spidey helping each other. We have the car at the power planet and for some reason in the power planet is a watchtower where Gwen died in with Harry knocked out. What do we know:

Cop saw Spidey and Gwen helping each other
Cop knows that is Gwen
Gwen takes that cop's car
Gwen arrives at the power plant in that cop car
Spidey fought Electro in the power plant
Harry is knocked out cold in the power plant

What is the person who is connected to Gwen Stacy and Harry Osborn? Around Harry's neck is webs and we saw Gwen with Spider-Man.

Cops would figure out that Gwen Stacy is Spider-Man's girlfriend.

Cops would look into who her boyfriend was and they couple ask the Stacy family or look at the high school graduation video and see Peter Parker is making out with Gwen.

They have that connection between Peter and Gwen, now what about Peter and Harry?

Well Harry and Peter's dad both worked together at Oscorp. Also when Harry was in a meeting, he left the meeting after an assistant said Peter Parker was here to see him. It's likely they are childhood friends and they had a falling out based on the fact Harry has army armor on and was going to kill Peter but killed Gwen.

So in the end we learn Harry killed Gwen and Peter is Spidey. Right?

WRONG!!!!

Why Levi? Because TASM2 wrote the most dumbest cops in any CBM. Cops can't catch Paul's driving, cops put fences up so people can see Electro and Rhino instead of clear the area, cops let an 18 year old girl steal a car, cops let a 8 year old go by but take the mother back.

So in the end this post is worthless.

Or the cop thing was just a flaw when dealing with barricades or car theivary. And the theivary part is more like the cop running away(for some reason) or Gwen knocking out the cop and stole his car.

As far as I know, all emergency services personal DO record audio, but it's from the radio generally.

At least that's how it works in Australia. Family has worked in both fire service and Police service, I'm not sure if Levi's theory works.

As you can see, background noise is recorded, but only when the police officer is transmitting a message, they may have picked up the conversation if the radio was activated, unfortunately, that wouldn't have happened.

I question whether the electronics in the car would have worked after electrical event (impluse? Overcharge?) when Electro died. Heck, I'm pushing it here, but the explosion could have had an affect similar to an EMP (NOT AN EMP though), rendering the equipment useless.

Regardless, Marc Webb wouldn't have thought of this as he was filming...

Even if the cop car has no audio, we have an eyewitness cop seeing Spider-Man and Gwen Stacy work together. Every cop car is tracked so they would be able to figure out Gwen drove the cop car to the place where Spidey fought Electro. If the cop car belongs to the cop who helped them, it's pretty easily detected Gwen took it.

So we have Gwen showing up in Electro and Spidey's last fight.

Then the Goblin shows up and ends up with webs around his neck, knocked out cold like he was trying to fight Spidey. Cops would probably think that Harry dropped Gwen and Spidey caught her too late.

Cops would still figure out the connection between Spider-Man and Gwen and how Gwen and Harry are connected to Spider-Man.

Ask the Stacy family who Gwen was dating at the time and one could figure out it's Peter since he's the only one who takes photos of Spider-Man for the Bugle.

I said before that Harry stepped out of a meeting to talk and hang out with Peter and was known to all the business partners in the meeting.

Harry was Peter's best friend turned foe, Gwen was Peter's girlfriend. Peter Parker is Spider-Man.

Why does Gwen have to be dating Spider-Man to help him? Couldn't they justify it by saying she works for Oscorp? Hence the Harry Connection? Plus Max Dillon.

Not enough evidence to implicate Peter Parker, who knows Peter and Harry are friends?

No court in the land would convict him on that evidence, surely, the sound thing is the only thing connecting them, with no sound, there's no case.

We saw her with Spider-Man and it seems like they known each other (since Gwen mentions 8th grade and high school in there conversation). The police would likely look at Gwen's male friends and see if Harry had any friends that could match up with Gwen's friends and Peter would be on that list.

It's not about her connection to Oscorp. Spider-Man isn't connected to Oscorp (as far as the cops know) and yet he's connected with Gwen and it is clear Spider-Man was at the scene of the crime.

So was Harry (at the scene of the crime), who is from Oscorp, and Electro, who is from Oscorp, and the Lizard (TASM), who is from Oscorp. All these villians around NYC suddenly, all connected to Oscorp, I'd be pushing a connection to Oscorp more easily in regards to Spider-Man than a connection to Gwen Stacy.

Still, we're really pushing it now, I'd be pointing more towards the scene where Peter swings down in full civi clothes, or the scene where spidey takes gwen onto the bridge, or Peter taking his mask off in several scenes in TASM, as evidence that he's spider-man.

The evidence pointing towards peter being spidey near the end of TASM2 is reallly weak.

Obviously, it's really hard to pretend we're in real life and this is actually happening and then take hypothetical evidence and then apply it in a circumstantial way.

Who knows Peter and Harry are friends? Heck, we didn't know until we were told they were, Harry hasn't been seen with Peter for aggees.

Let's look at the scene of the crime.

We got a cop car from a cop that was asked for help by Gwen Stacy and Spider-Man.
We got the destruction of a fight between Spider-Man and Electro and Electro somehow is gone.
We got in the clocktower, Harry Osborn knocked out cold with webs tried behind his neck from what looks like he was in a fight with Spider-Man.
We got the dead body of Gwen Stacy who was last seen helping Spider-Man with the cop.

Why would Gwen steal a cop car to come here to help Spider-Man unless she knew him personally?

Gwen worked at Oscorp along with Harry and Max but that has nothing to do with her driving a car to here.

She was suppose to go to England and was on a taxi but eyewitnesses saw a sign on the bridge made of webs saying "I love you" and she was taken by Spider-Man which means she must have had a relationship with him.

And with Harry and Peter friendship, as I said Harry left a meeting to talk to Peter and arranged a meeting with Peter over something.

Well as Levi said the cops or one of them may point out some clues as to how spidey and Gwen are involved and like Levi stated a detective or a journslist can find some clues about Peter. Maybe either jean dewolf, sin eater, Mac gargan, Eddie Brock, or a hunter like KRAVEN can get involved. But since KRAVEN is on the six before the third film that leaves the other four to find some answers and could even give Peter Parker something to be paranoid about. This info could risk the people that he loves like his aunt may, Mary Jane, Betty brant, flash, j Jonah Jameson and even Robbie
