I said it......is he just simply the previews till the real movie starts? OR, will he steal the show?

I think he'll be a decent part of the film... especially if he's setting up the big 4-way fight at the end.

I don't think he'll be a throwaway but he won't get as much screen time as, say, Norman in Spidey 1 or Doc Ock in Spidey 2

Yeah I hope he's thrown away. Venom's the real star of this movie. Sandman can go down as the juggernaut or bane of this franchise.

i believe doc ock and the green goblin didn't get much screen time they just used what time they had quite well. in the goblins case it was as norman that he got most screen time. norman is a character unto himself and everything he does reflects on harry. thus giving harry character development. doc ock however was connected up till the point he became doc ock and then was their for charisma and action with a character closing moment right at the end as with norman. so if he follows the pattern as soon as he gets his ablities he'll be there for the action scenes. at the same time brock and harry fullfill the personal challenge to parkers life. the symbiote is an enemy in of it'self and gets screen time and development before the creation of venom. if you know brock and the symbiote individually, then you know venom as a developed character. and then to give mary jane something to worry about you have gwen and the symbiotes effect on peter.

sandman will be a looming threat but i onlky expect to see him at the beggining and closer to the end. maybe a scene or 2 in the middle but not much.

sandman will be a big part of this movie, brock however will be bigger

honestly, if this were any other movie and director i would be seriously worried about fitting everything in to make this movie actually good. but i really believe raimi and the rest of the SM3 cast and crew can pull it off.

from the wallpaper with sandman protecting the little boy I'd have to say he's going to be the main villain.

I want everyone to just take a few minutes out of their exciting lives to just take a good look at those pictuires above of sandman...right there is awesomeness at it's fullest, why anyone would have doubts about this movie after seeing that is a fool...a DAMN FOOL!

You're living in a dream-world buddy, Flint Marko/Sandman is going to be in this film from beginning to end. With the most screen time, unless you're ignoring the fact that Church said he's "THE MAIN VILLAIN" and that Venom shows up in the end. The question you should be asking is will "VENOM" be a "THROW-AWAY VILLAIN," let me answer that for you...YES HE IS. Sam Raimi/Marvel/Sony are going to use Venom, the same way as the comic books does....for the sole purpose of making more MONEY, especially in licensing.:o

the cries of a man who knows nothing about comics...

...I can see the truth is starting to hurt a little. Venom fans are so sensitive.:)

From the man himself. Sandman =Main villain. Venom isn't even getting a look in until the end. Which means Harry's Goblin is the second main villain.

I don't think any villain will be a throw away, as we know Sandman is the main villain. Harry will be tied up with the previous two films, and on the case of Venom;

Symbiote.

Spider-Man is going to be under the influence of this symbiote, obviousily turning him bad in the process. And all throughout the film, Eddie Brock will be developing his grudge against Peter. Well, eventually as a given, Spidey rids himself of the symbiote and, when it evenutally finds Eddie Brock, it bonds with him turning him into something that Spider-Man himself was on the path to, something evil.

So you Venom haters can take a tire iron lubed with KY and buck wild on it screaming "LOL OMFG, THROW-AWAY THIS!"

I have faith in this film, I think all the villains and other characters will be treated good. Stop ruining everything by being miserable pig****ers.

Well, if you include the symbiote being attached to Spider-Man (as part of Venom being on screen) then I guess you're right. Personally, I'm really looking forward to the symbiote being attached to Spidey, even moreso than Venom himself, not that I don't wanna see Venom.

And I'm no Venom hater, I like the character, but I prefer the classic villains more is all. But even further, I'm intrigued by all the villains in this film. I think multiple-villains (that most people frown upon) are actually going to help this to be a stronger film. But more importantly, or should I say hopefully, it'll cause even more multiple-viewing.
