That was the best trailer yet. Looks like a solid film.

This movie is essentially Suicide Squad hype. :hehe:

Yea that's kinda true, but that can be said for a couple of other movies. I saw "The Warrior" that stared Tom Hardy just to get a general idea of how he would be as Bane in Dark Knight Rises.

Actually, to me, Bane was disappointing after seeing Hardy in Bronson and Warrior. But those were far more character-oriented roles.

Well that's not really all that surprising. After all, Hardy was the lead in Bronson and one of the two leads in Warrior. He was neither in TDKR. Heck as much praise as Heath Ledger (deservedly) receives for his Joker, that wasn't really a character-oriented role either. Joker wasn't even really a "character" so much as he was a force of nature, ditto for Bane.

I agree. Tom was okay as Bane but overall Dark Knight Rises is in my opinion the weakest of the Nolan Bat films.

Will Smith and Margot Robbie Talk FOCUS, SUICIDE SQUAD, and More

Thought this was the most interesting question...

Will, what do you feel you have riding on Focus, particularly after what happened with After Earth?

SMITH: For me, this film really marks a transition in my life, emotionally and in my career. After the failure of After Earth, a thing got broken in my mind. I was like, “Oh, wow, I’m still alive. Actually, I still am me, even though the movie didn’t open at number one. Wait, I can still get hired on another movie.” In my mind, my entire, Mr. July, Big Willie Weekend, number one for eight in a row all collapsed, and I realized that I still was a good person. So, when I went into Focus, I completely released the concept of goal orientation and got into path orientation, with this moment, this second, these people, this interaction. It is a huge relief for me to not care whether or not Focus is number one or number ten at the box office. I’ve already gained everything that I could possibly have hoped for, from meeting the people that I met and from the creation of what we did together. It’s just painting. I’m going to paint. Some paintings are going to be fantastic, others are going to be not so good, but I no longer measure the quality of myself on whether or not somebody else thinks what I painted is beautiful.

Sarcasm : which thing got broken in you M Smith ? The fact that when you make a crappy movie with scientology flavor and trying to push your talentless kids into the business it fails ? Good.

Now, I must watch the trailer for Focus.

...okay.

Will's a fantastic actor, and hopefully he'll be drawn to some great material. I miss seeing him in films like Pursuit of Happyness and Ali.

I wouldn't call his kids talentless, but I think they've been pushed more than they want to.

Pay no attention. The "talentless part" was just me being mean because the son ( I wrote kids instead of kid, I don't know his daughter ) would not be acting if he wasn't a Smith and he's also not good and AE was the last A movie I saw that was that bad and with Will Smith to boot ( who is a good actor but not in AE ).

Sorry for the little rent.

An Ok trailer, a good ol' con story, the movie looks well made.
Margot Robbie is definitively pretty, I wonder what her Harley Quinn will be like.

to bad that the After Earth bomb didnt happen before Tarantino called him. he would be in Django. i need Smith in a Tarantino movie

I agree with Smith's reasons for turning down Django. I'd love to see him in a Tarantino film or any film made by an auteur again. The guy's an amazing lead.

I can only imagine how he would have been in Inception.

I actually don't mind them myself. Maybe they're no headline star material yet, but they're hardly terrible imo.

What did he say?

Because he would have made a better Django than Foxx.

Totally agree with you on that point. Foxx wasn't anything special or interesting. Smith oozes charisma.

He said that Waltz's character is the lead in a film about Django. Smith felt like Django was a supporting character, and he wasn't down for that. So that's why he dropped it.
