I'm not especially worried, just wondering what you guys thought?

Warner's certainly have lessons to learn on marketing. It was generally good for BB (if perhaps a tad too low-key) but was all over the place for SR, people really had no idea what the movie was about.

Budget-wise will could things be affected d'you think?

Like I said I doubt this is anything to worry about but this is as good a place as any to talk about these kind of things...

No, The disappointing Superman Returns B.O. numbers will not affect the batman begins sequel in any negative way altghough I do believe it will affect it in a positive way now warner brothers would market the Batman sequel very well and now they know that the dark knight sells more then the man of steel. Batman Begins did pretty danm good in the box office so warner brothers would take it into consideration and give the sequel a BIGGER budget which is pretty awesome then again I'm just speculating so who'll knows what will happened I guess were going to have to wait till 2008: The year of Bat shall rise above. Sorry I always did felt like saying that last sentence. :)

Noway, and you know why?

BB had huge DVD sales and very good WOM, what means that it's sequel will make much more than 1st movie in box office.

The same happened with X-Men 2, Shrek 2, T2 and etc.

Isn't this already a topic?

Even so, it will not.

It might hurt a crossover movie, but not the Batman series.

Only if Nolan bales (no pun intended) and Bale bales (pun intended) and Singer was brought on board to direct along with Routh as Batman.

But hey, at least the fans who want Batman in spandex would have hope again.

I wouldn't think so.
