Will the Trailer/Teaser sneak up on us

The one thig that sucks is that even though I can watch the superbowl on cable (in Switzerland) I will not see any of the commercials which includes the Hulk spot. :(

My bet is there won't be a Hulk spot. :csad:

If there is though, you won't have to worry it will most definitely pop up online.

I'm from the caribbean so I'm not sure if my cable will cover the superbowl. Can you tell me what channels show the superbowl and what time does it show? I get ABC, CNN and some other stations. Also how long do you think it will take to move from the TV screen to the internet?

Well.. honestly, not a football guy so I don't know. But as for the second question if it wasn't up in a couple of hours I'd be pretty shocked.

Someone is just bound to capture it and put it up even if it's not officially released.

so since you are saying that they are waiting for the CGI scenes ....that would mean that we can expect some heavy CGI scenes?

i dont belive this.
but ok.

If they show the Hulk at all it's heavy CGI. LOL The first teaser for the last film was more of a real teaser. This one will probably show more footage and they want to get it right this time. Would you rather have the teaser come out right now for the impatient people and it be "good"...or wait till it's ready and have it blow people away. The more $$$$ it makes the longer the franchise lasts in the case of these superhero franchises so we can only hope it's great and it makes alot of money.

So what are you saying AD? Do you think we'll get Super Bowl or not?

If one is shown, we will stream it for you to see, okay?:woot:

The Superbowl is on the regular Fox channel.

if they will show him. thats here the question. and if they show him for a second then this is not a heavy CGI scene. why would they wait weeks or even months for a 2 second hulk shot?

sorry i dont buy it. but i will admit that i was wrong if they will show a lot of action in this trailer.

I gotta say it's weird we haven't heard anything yet about a teaser. Iron Man, TDK, even HellBoy's got the trailer out. maybe we'll get a trailer simultaneous with Indiana Jones, which I'm still shocked they're waiting THAT long to tease us about the return of one of the most iconic movie characters of all time.

There is a difference between Indianna Jones not releasing one and TIH nhot releasing one though, IJ is pretty much GUARANTEED to be a success, something TIH is definately NOT. Thats why i thought they would be pounding the marketing by now, trying to get word about TIH to everyone possible.

Well, here we are, three days away from the SuperBowl...somehow I just don't think it's gonna happen. Although, if it did, the shock would move me outta my barcalounger...

I havent heard anywhere other than here that there will be a Hulk trailer during the SuperBowl...

Its not going to happen, and its to bad really. They need to get something out there to the masses to remind them that this movie is coming soon.

Im starting to get a bad feeling about this movie

That is nice of you EB  but I guess as there will not be one you won't have to stream anything. anyways, it is not the spot I am looking forward to but the film and that is for a few months yet.

There's rumors over on IMDB that we won't even get a trailer for the Super Bowl now. wow.

Rumors are only as good as their sources...that being said, I wouldn't be surprised if it's true.

i dont think there will be a tv spot for IH.
they would be mentioning if they are iron man. since they are both from marvel.

so i htink nothing. maybe it will be like with alien vs predator. only a full trailer.

Well the Rhythm & Hues character animator Lindsay Thompson, did say that she believed the trailer would premiere during the Superbowl but then said she is "not sure".

Let's all hope it is eh...

LOL! OK Imma take a crack at psychology here ok. Tell me if I'm right. I think we have a case here of "Defensive De-hypepification". It's mainly caused by constant recurring disappointment.

You see last year we were promised that a trailer might appear by Thanksgiving. We all got hyped about it but when thanksgiving came and went we got very disappointed to see nothing right. Then we started hearing it may come by the end of December or January, we got hyped a lil bit but left some room for disappointment. By February 1st that room for disappointment was generously filled.

Now we hear that the trailer should come at superbowl. We got a lil hyped again but now that the day is drawing so close our memories go back to our previous disappointments and we can bare the thought of being disappointed again.

So what does the brain do? It builds up defensive barrier against the "hype" within us, a process known as De-hyping. It does this by flooded our thoughts with "doubt". This will cause us to "expect" to be disappointed so that if disapointment does indeed come we would have already been prepared because our hype levels will be low enough to cushion the fall.

OR:

Maybe we're just trying to build a hype for "No trailer" so that we will be "disappointed" and a trailer does in fact show :hehe:
Anyways I don't know what to think Imma just wait for the superbowl and see if we get a trailer or now. Imma try my best to act like i never heard a rumor about a trailer for the superbowl :woot:

Iron Man has a spot durning the SB

Yep, and Marvel is acknowledging it. They are showing a teaser pic, and saying quote: "If this doesn't whet your appetite for the summer's biggest movie, then we don't know what will!"

Never really even taking notice of ol' Green skin.

My guess is truly, no Superbowl spot.

In the Iron Man thread, someone posted an article outlining all the major studios' tv spots for the SB.

Hulk was not under Universal's list of spots.

Case closed.

Marketing for this film loses once again.
