I hope there is... but singer will not show the return to krypton sequence anywhere but on the big screen..so there is hope..

but last i heard he was going to use that Krypton sequence in the Sequel?

Believe it or not, I asked Bryan Singer at Comic-Con if there was going to be some sort of Extended Edition/ Director's Cut dvd in the future. He basically told me that there isn't going to be one because there are fans of the theatrical cut, and for them to see a cut they're not familiar with will confuse them. It was a strange answer, but saw what he was talking about. Sorry, there isn't going to be one.

He did mention however, that he's considering an IMAX re-release with the Krypton scene inserted back into the movie, though nothing is confirmed.

I would say no if I thought it was up to Singer, but WB has other people to answer to and a director's cut is a money maker.

Heck! They are bringing Donner's cut back after all these years, so I would never say no to that.

The deleted Krypton footage will either :
- Be incorporated into a special edition Director's Cut Superman Returns.
- Be used as part of the sequel, either as a flashback or to set up a villain.

I am under the impression that WB could release a cut of the movie if they wanted to whether Singer likes it or not at a later date. It wouldn't be a "Directors Cut" but maybe something like Superman Returns: Gold Edition.

Well however Singer feels about the sequence he should have at least included it as a deleted scene. I mean it was a deleted scene right? what makes it less worthy of other deleted scenes? so my guess is that it is going to be used somehow, somewhere at sometime... hopefully in the form of an extended cut, along with a commentary by Singer. Omitting those two things from a dvd in order to double dip is something that I would expect from Fox but not WB.

No it isnt, Singer said it in Total Film here in the U.K a couple of months back, i read the article and it did say that.

You are right about the bet but it was more vague then your 58 days, it was which would hit 200million first Begins or Returns. I have it in my message box. So you won, I guess that means we're tied. Like kissing your sister.
